Today, neon green track, believed to be that of the former Geauga Lake coaster X-Flight, began arriving to a staging area in the parking lot at Paramount's Kings Island. PKICentral.com has posted pictures.

You guys need to relax. This isn't a bad idea at all. The kings island general public is going to eat this up. This will be an extremly easy ride to market. X-flight isn't a bad ride at all either..If they didn't make this decision this would be a really bad year for kings island. Consider this:

2006- King Island got a whole new kids area.. and promoted it as "the most elaborate collection of nickelodeon adventures in the world." and I'm pretty sure the park didnt even break 3M.. The original plan for this year was for them to take out FOF and Viking Fury.. and replace them with an inverted ship sitting in storage. This would have been one of the lowest years in attendance ever for the park had cedar fair not done something quick.

It was a very smart idea.. and inexpensive. So please stop being such negative assholes all the time. The park is in better hands now. The recognize how important Kings Island is to the company.. and they will take good care of it.

And I smell a B&M..

I'm predicting they'll name it Thunder Force. Or maybe Steel Hawk. ;)

"X-flight is still copyrighted by six flags fyi"

Wrong. You don't copyright names, you trademark them. Furthermore, there is no "X-Flight" in the USPTO's database. Don't just pull stuff out of your nose and post it as fact.

And since when did the park not do 3 million?

I'll miss X-Flight. I sure hope that empty space helps GL. I can't say it's going to help KI that much.
I don't think it will be too bad of a choice for PKI, though I understand the concerns for capacity. I'm curious to know where they will put the ride. I think the only bad part of this whole move is going to be on Geauga Lake's part, unless they have something good to put in it's place...unlikely.

And as for the name, I'll go with Steel Thunder Venom Force. ;)

Good luck on capacity....I'll be suprised if they can get this thing to run two,let alone gasp! three trains.

I'm suprised that paramount's original plan was to rip out FOF though....thankfully when they tried it at KD CF stepped in & put an end to that nonsense once & for all.

When I rode BatWing I thought it was great of course it was my first flyer and after 3 B&M flyers it is my least favorite but it was enjoyable, was there something wrong with X-Flight.

Ps. X-Flight's name is more appropriate now that it is flying. (corny I know)

Its not really flying... haha its being truck bedded. AHH NEW NAME

TRUX BED!

I'm a fan of Stealth/Borg and if they theme X-Flight with some of the care that Borg got at Carowinds, I think it should be a nice fit, although I agree that the capacity will be an issue. But, say it miraculously runs three trains in two stations, we may be in business. I'm anticipating the Vekoma and the reopened SOB as a big announcement.
Maybe not opening day but I bet it's running by Memorial day. They already are moving track back to the worksite. If the footers are poured and set. It will go up rather quickly. Probably quicker than it's deconstruction.

My only question is if the trains are getting the rehab job Steath got. It seems to be more reliable there. At Geauga they rarely could keep two trains going and often had the ride closed because both were having problems.

X-Flight is definitely slated to open with the rest of the park, according to my sources. If not, then, sometime shortly thereafter. . .I have a friend who's working on the crew there and he says that they have been told to "get 'er done." With the balmy winter weather (until a week or so ago), they have made great strides.
My only hope is that it will run efficiently with both trains. And actually put to use its dual loading station. Its a unique feature of that ride. I wouldnt hope they would remove it soley re-erect it to run it like crap as it was before.
I'm prety sure their gona run all 3 trains. This isnt GL it's KI so they have to run more people through. Bad capacity.
I'm with deep!!!
