PKI to get something really big for 2003?

From what I have been hearing, we may just see the closed side of the Antique Cars disapear next season. I could only guess that it would have something to do with the 2004 attraction/s.

Maybe....A tera all the way around the park! From the old antique car ride area, to behind The Beast, around past SoB, across the entrance, and inbetween Waterworks at the kids area! That'd be about 20,000ft!!! :)

Hey! I'm aloud to dream!

I doubt there will be a Tera, because the season passes sale would be more expensive. But there could be a giga....they need something in that sort.....BADLY

Like I said.....I can dream.

And I'm not talking about a tera for 2003 this ofcourse would be for 2004. Oh and PKI has already stated that no coaster will be built for 2003.....so why the fuss?

Maybe they are finally listening to me and extending the train ride around the park, under the beast, through the woods and around.

I doubt the Kings Island & Miami Valley RR will be expanding anytime soon, if ever. PKI could put in a decent size coaster for what it would cost to do an expansion of the railroad line. Paramount's trend in past years has been to remove the railroads. Not expand them. This is particularly due to the cost of operation and maintenance on them. Also they use up so much real estate. But the big reason I doubt they are expanding the line is that I would have been told all about this by now.

I've got to say that it would be mighty swell if they wrapped the railroad around the park and had another station on the other side by Top Gun

The main purpose for the railroad is to get people from the park to the waterpark, and back. They aren't gonna change it's path.

I circled the area i think the new 2004 coaster will go in Red. They could EASILY fit a Giga, or even a Tera in that area! I also marked about what land PKI owns in Yellow. I know they own all of the way down to the Little Miami River, and i think they own up to near Kings High School ( Not pictured, but it is just off to the left ). Anyways, i dont see anyhting going behind The Beast. I can't see PKI ever ruining the total wooded aspect of the ride. Well, this is my guess. Any thoughts on it?

Women was god's second mistake.

Well......PKI owns a LOT more land than what you circled. I do agree though that where you put the red for the giga, is a great place! You can't see anything going on behind the Beast because the land slopes down to the river and plus something PKI is known for.....TREES! and lots of em. And believe me there really isn't anything going on back there either.

DLDude,

That would be a cool location for a new coaster. Nice pic by the way. =:^)

i think that they will get a coaster in 2003 because didnt u remember that when they said and we still havent announed all of our attractions for 2003 yet.

I don't see why they wouldn't get one. Their due for a coaster BADLY! I'm thinking something tall, but not sure what company. B&M or Intamin are likely if they were to build a coaster next year though.

i think pki is in need for a good steel coaster
PKI is in need of a good steel coaster. But how many times do we hafta tell ya?.....they're aren't getting any for 2003. The big coaster that everyones talking about and wanting will come, not next year though. So for right now, you're stuck with a classic "good steel coaster," Vortex!

PKI has built a coaster in 2001, 2000, 1999, 1998, and 1996. One year off isn't going to kill anybody.

If the shoe fits, find another one.

And Flight of Fear dosn't exist? Which gose perfect with it's theme BTW.

Is it about coasters or friends? I say both!

ravenguy, will you please keep it shut for two minutes! I mean honestly. A year, to you may not be a big deal. But, a year to others it. PKI is in dire need of a coaster and even though they did get a "major" attraction (he, ya right) in 2002, they could still get another in 2003. An by that I mean a roller coaster. PKI can get a roller coaster in 2003. It wouldn't cost that much. I mean think about it. PKI could get a Wild Mouse. They can't be that expensive. Reasoning: "Grand Prix" in MB has one. Reason enough. If a small little go-cart track can get one then why can get a major park like PKI get one? It can and it should. Now you say well what about business. Well, y'all say families bring in more money. Yeah, and that a roller coasters limits the activities a family with smaller children can do. Well, a Wild Mouse can be fun for all ages. Younger cans can ride it as well as adults. It fun for both ages. It is similer to Aventure Express. PKI should get a Wild Mouse in 2003 and still get the "huge" ride we are all waiting for in 2004.

Krillin. I'm going with ravenguy. Although PKI COULD get a wildmouse or other small coaster, they won't. PKI has proven that you don't need a whole bunch of coasters, and a whole bunch of adult coasters to be successful. Which is why PKI has a higher attendance than CP according to the past few years. All parks are a business and do research about their upcoming rides. NO park would put in a ride that would be best for them. Adding flats for two years have been the best decision! I just hate it when people in the past years have complained that they don't have enough flats. Well once PKI gets em, everyone gets mad. I know it sounds like I'm going on a rant, I'm not. People just need to let PKI run themselves. The average coaster enthusiast and GP doesn't know how to run a successful park. So relax and enjoy what PKI is getting next year. If you don't want to, wait till 2004 when they get the coaster that you're begging for. Cause they aren't getting it or another in 2003.

Where did you get your attendance data at PkI? I'd like to see some hard numbers, not just rumors and I thinks...
