Jeffery Siebert, a PR rep at Paramount's Kings Island, told PKIGuide.com that the park's stand-up coaster, King Cobra, was being removed to make room for "something new in 2003."
All I gotta say is IT BETTER BE SOMETHING GOOD!!!!!

RRRRRRRRR LETS GET READY TO RUMOR!
Wow this is okay news I guess. Many new rumors will be pouring in here through the next year. Well what else is new!
-----------------
Cedar Point gets "twisted for 2002"
Great Escape gets "screwed for 2002"

800,000 years in 7 seconds: Time Machine the movie or next S&S creation?
Yeah The rumors will be flying on this one.
PKI is really dumping money into the park. SOB, Reptar, TrTR and next year they are getting some in place of king kobra. I don't think the ride itself will be all that large by the looks of the space the will have to use on it. But you never can tell what a park is doing.
Titan Fan 13,
King Cobra is still for sale on that site to. We saw the pictures of it being scrapped. Windjammer is gone. Wasn't the broken up track in the Knott's parking lot evidence enough?

PKI FaNaTiC:
If a park wants B&M to build them a stand up than B&M will build them a stand up. What do you call GS at SFG?
I would LOVE to see a B&M stand up with a tight layout like GS but I don't think that is what they are planning to build. If they take out DOT as well they will have a little more space to build on.

I too notice that KC takes up a small footprint and doubt they will replace it with a coaster unless it's a Wild Mouse (unless they demolish Adventure Express too and use its land). If the new attraction is an upcharge, I will be mad. Removing a coaster for an upcharge is just plain wrong. We'll see, though. One can always hope PKI will get that inverted it needs so badly one of these days...
-------------
I get the feeling there's a conspiracy over at King's Island to remove anything that has "K" or "C" in its initials.

"Actually Windjammer has not been scrapped. It is For sale on the Ital International web site, and its going for around $1.2 Million ."
Sorry man... that ride is SO melted down. The track was torched, cut, torn and broken in so many ways, it's impossible to rebuild it. The final choice to just bring the ride down in such a fashion was made in early July last year after a few failed attempts to sell the ride.
My personal favorite sight in watching the ride come down was when a large scoop was literally ramming a station footer to tear it out. It was almost funny.
