PKI anouncement?

When will PKI anounce their 30th anniversary attraction? I`ve heard in June but don`t really know. Other than that, all I know is that it will be built on the former location of KCKC. Anyone have a clue on what it is (besides a dark ride, or water coaster).

I had recieved an e-mail from Sean Flaharty last week and he said that the PR director at PKI told him that next year's attraction is to be unique, expensive, and very BIG. I think it'll be the world's largest restroom on stilts and will have waterless urinals in the men's room. LOL! :)

Seriously I have no clue what it could be. I'm hoping for some kind or B&M coaster. Either an inverted of speed coaster.

PKI Needs a Beemer!!

I think though it could be another wooden or steel coaster that is also themed to The Beast or Vortex. That's what logic tells me, but ya never know

They need an inverted bad (continuous circuit)...maybe by Intamin???

i think it is gonna be the longest giga coaster. Longest steel coaster next to longest wood coaster. sounds good to me. my dad came up the name Mother of Beast: Mother of all Coasters. since its gonna be the biggest and longest.
That would kick *** if they did that.

I think it interesting that people keep insisting that PKI "needs an inverted coaster bad" when the park pointed out at Media Day this season that with Top Gun, Face/Off, Scooby Doo's Ghoster Coaster, and the Rugrats Runaway Reptar Roller Coaster, Kings Island has more train-below-track roller coasters than any other park on the planet...!

I don't know when the announcement will be but I want a steel hyper or giga !!!!!!

All PKI needs is a hyper or a giga. It would be cool if it looped tho. If they get a hyper or a giga then they will have a complete list of coasters spanning the board/.

I was at Kings Island at the end of May. I got there about 9:30am and was waiting to ride the beast. I saw some construction happening next tot the beast on the right, what do you think is going there?

For All you PKI Fans Out there, I took a trip to the park just over a week ago, and was desperatly trying to find anything about this new 2002 attraction, Now I asked 6 employees, Nearly All Said that they didnt know what was happening, but Promised It was Gonna be BIG. However when talking to one Person on Face Off, She Said It was gonna be a Big RollerCoaster, A Hyper Coaster is rumoured too as we all know;);)

But lets not forget the other rumour of the Tomb Raider Dark Ride, this is quite a strong rumour at the moment, so lets not rule it out, I know we would like a coaster more than anything, but I thought I would mention it. I am more tempted to say its a Hyper Now though after talking to the Girl on Face Off:)

At SFGL the other day (friday) I talked to the coolest two enthusiasts I have met. One said he was from L.A. and his friend said he was from southern Ohio an hour from KI. I don't remember his name but he should be worthy of much respect. He said he posted on RRC. He said he will document the construction of a HUGE coaster of some sort on the web. He said July 3-8 was the range of the announcement date.

The 30th B Day for PKI would be pretty lackluster if they didn't build a coaster.

It's gonna be a watercoaster........
No word on a second attraction.:(

PKI needs a lot of other types of coasters before an inverted. They already have Face Off. Hyper, Floorless and Shuttle coasters would fill bigger gaps than ANOTHER inverted coaster.

Go check the local zoneing board see if they have had any request to build at PKI.
