PKI & PGA '06- Zamperla Disk-O Coaster?

You can bet that if these rides are successful, you'll see one at a park near you.
I wouldn't call IJ:ST a great success, but PKD is getting one.

*prepares for onslaught by IJ lovers*

^ IJ:ST is actually quite popular at PCW, but then again everything there has hudge line-ups. Most of the gp think its really fun and they think its fast too considering IJ is the old LIM at PCW. A Disco-O would be a nice adition to pcw but i wouldn't expect it for 07' as im almost sure we will get 'Boomerang Bay' and 2010 will be the year for the next major coaster. I could possibly see one in 08' if it's a hit at the other parks.
Well, it's a family-themed ride, right? There's the old Bedrock Aquarium which hasn't been used for a few seasons which could probably be removed, and replaced with something about that size, right?
I thought the restraints were horrible. I rode the one at Mount Olympus and the restraint just kept pushing into my back and was very uncomfortable, it may just have been a bad seat or due to the fact that I'm really skinny but it hurt and didn't like the ride due to it.

Bedrock aquarium actually still has a sea lion show if im not mistaken. Although i do know the dolphin's are gone. There is still alot of available land up in the kids area which will more then likely be expanded in the next few years as there hasn't been kids expansions for a while now.
Jeff basically confirmed (mentioning my thread, woohoo! ;)) the Zamperla Disk-O Coaster as Avatar tonight at the Beast final rides. Sounds fun! Sorry if I was being a party pooper on the surprises though, but we were all itching to know. =p

He said it would be a "similar experience" to the "link on Coasterbuzz." I'd say "It's going to be something more!" but Mr. Siebert has been known to hype up things like trash cans to be the next best thing. ;)
Well from what Jeff Siebert said at the final Beast ride last night, it sounds as though PKI will get some new variant of this ride.
First, to those of you who complain that PKI gets all these "cool rides", may I remind you that all other Paramount parks have coasters that PKI fans can only dream about getting, but probably never will....

Does PKI have a full-circuit SLC or non-kiddie inverted coaster? No. Does PKI have a flying coaster? No. Does PKI have a thrust air coaster? No. Does PKI have a stand-up coaster? Not anymore, and it probably will never be replaced with another decent adult-sized steel coaster. So stop complaining. You're not missing much.

Second, with respect to the lack of maintenance of theming, has anyone ever bothered to contact Jeff Siebert to ask him WHY?

You're kidding, right?

How many SLCs have you done? How many Deja Vus? Does PKI have the only model of inverted Vekoma worth mentioning? Yup.

How many standups have you done? How many flying coasters? How many of them have a broad appeal or are even worth mentioning among even the most enthused of enthusiasses?

I mean REALLY. Try a few of those coasters on for size and get back with us.

And you're the self-appointed expert on what people should like or not like?

No, I wasn't kidding. And re-read my post. I said every other Paramount park has a FULL-CIRCUIT SLC or non-kiddie inverted coaster, or a standup. I don't give a flying fat rat's butt if YOU enjoy them or not, or whether you think WE should enjoy them or not. I'm not the adrenaline junkie that most of you people are, who can't seem to get your jollies on anything less than an ultra-smooth 300' high dream machine that pulls 4.5 g's. So just because YOU don't think those coasters at other Paramount parks are decent does NOT mean other people feel the same. I would venture a guess YOU were probably one of the people who were so excited about those new coasters you so apparently hate now, and you probably couldn't wait to get on them. But now you're sick of them, and think the rest of us should be as well. Well, I'm sorry, but there are countless millions of other people in this world who DON'T share your opinion. So I'm simply stating my opinion - which, last I heard, I was permitted to do.

Rigggght. I only like ultra-smooth gigacoasters. You really know me well. *Cough*

Now back to my question....you've been on how many of those coasters you squeal and thrash around about? Go on. We're waiting for your answer.

Do we want an SLC? no.

Does PKI have a flying coaster? No.

Do we want one like Borg Ass? No.

Does PKI have a thrust air coaster? No.

If by "thurst air coaster" you mean "carnival coaster that runs like crap and hurts" then... no.

Does PKI have a stand-up coaster? Not anymore...

Oh, boo hoo.

Second, with respect to the lack of maintenance of theming, has anyone ever bothered to contact Jeff Siebert to ask him WHY?

Because I'm sure as head honcho of PR he'll freely admit "Yes, we have a maintenance issue."

SLC? No one besides Magic Springs wants one of those, LOL...and they *likely* bought their due to Vekoma's having one "on the shelf" looking (desperately) for a buyer... ;)

Flyer? Yes please...and the Vekoma is the *only* one I'd want...unless SFMM comes up with something special in Tatsu...but Paramount had their fill of Vekoma flyers after....hmmm, just one. :)

Thrust air? I *love* H:XLC, but I know I'm virtually alone on that...(and there's the critical difference on these boards - those who recognize that their PERSONAL tastes may not be in line with the general populace)...and as far as the GP is concerned, I doubt they'd know OR care about the differences between launch technologies...

PKI's stand-up? Now that one I *do* miss...and KC was popular...but a maintenance headache. If they want one, I'd still suggest *cloning* Georgia Scorcher! :)

John, you mighta coulda used a winky after that last bit....or not... ;)

If they'd put head rests in those big gaping holes where head rests should be on XLC I'd like it more.

I liked King Cobra, but... it had to go. (Ha, get it? To go. Togo.)

Personally, I like the B&M flyers because they're more comfy. They aren't as forceful, but I like the prone starting position more than the flop to the back starting position. I'd love to see a B&M flyer where SoB stands now. I'd love to see anything that isn't SoB where SoB stands now.

And ;) guys? I don't got time for no ;) guys!

There's certainly more to Paramount Parks than just PKI. Flagship parks just get more attention. I went to PKD last year and had a blast.

They should just change "Son of Beast" to "Money Pit" and be done with it. There's been so much work done on that ride AFTER the initial $15 Million investment, it's rediculous.

Gator, don't worry - full TR will be coming as soon as I sit down to finish writing it, but I'm with you on Hypersonic - I rode it this weekend and loved it (except for the length of the line and the slam into the brakes.. but that's minor discomfort for, IMO, a good ride).
