Overall decent trip for only being there from 10:30 to 1:00 the park closed an hour later or so they say .
Dissapointed to XLC to ride But should have the ride time i can handle on pass holders day
I just got back to Indianapolis after a 11:00 hour trip back from PKD, it was my first cross country trip just to ride!!
Saturday; according to one of the area managers, the crowds were about 3000. I met Coaster Jammin' (MF crew) and his girlfriend (Raptor crew)while waiting at the rope. We spent the day with no lines and many re-rides, we even managed to get stuck in the brakes on Grizzly. I really enjoyed my two front seat rides on Volcano but managed to skin my knuckle on the harness on my third ride further back in the train. We got to see the Hypersonic launch one time while getting on Rebel Yell.
It was well worth my 24 hrs on the road to visit PKD,and meet other coaster lovers and my Season pass will be paid for next Saturday on the Beast.

As heard on Amtrak 44: "If you look out the left side of the Train you will see the coasters of Cedar Point."
Hey rebelyell, did FOF have new trains or were the old ones refitted?

That is too bad you didn't get to ride Hypersonic. Anyway good trip report.

Nah, the park was open at least till about 5pm. I got there at about 1:30pm and left at a quarter to 5pm. FOF is SO much more enjoyable with the lap bars!

Interesting that a lot of people were there on April Fools. Anyways, I had also found my way down to Doswell for the day and had my first good look at Hypersonic:XLC. I guess I was pretty upset that it was closed, but I found a way to enjoy myself. Volcano in the front is always good, though a little hard on the face if it is during pelting rain. Also I was in line for FOF when a seatbelt broke and they held up the whole line. I waited for about 20 minutes and I eventually gave up. I went back later and the line was almost coming out of the building. I wasn't prepared to wait in that line mostly because they had only been running one train that day. Grizzly was running quite rough compared to last year. Right after the tunnel it is in desparate need of braking. Anaconda is actually quite stunning in its new shade of bright orange. Though its still rough through the butterfly configuration, eccspeciall during the second part of it. Also, Rebel Yell is fantastic going backwards. And I recomend waiting for the back because at the lift the rest of the train almost pulls you over the hill. Overall, a nice and amusing trip. Let's hope HS:XLC gets running soon. Also on a side note, I did see some land clearing going on behind Rebel Yell. Also some pieces for what looked like a dark green slide. I wouldn't expect for 2002 any more than a waterpark addition.
