Photo's of new zamperla's Flying coaster working

Zamperla's willingness to work to improve the ride is a good sign for their future.  Working WITH your customers shows a strong desire to be as good as you can be...

Call me a pessimist, but this looks disturbingly similar in shape to SFMM Flashback....

*shudder*

"When I come to a town I would love to see a children’s festival and children’s choirs singing my songs - maybe create a children’s day! A Holiday! With parades and songs - oh, I would love that!" - I swear to god its a Michael Jackson quote

actually, I rode a ride like this.  not a coaster, but with similar cars.  it was at a fair and it just spun you around in a circle for a while.  the restraints weren't bad and you had the choice of riding face down or face up.  it looks fun if they can keep the speed in check 'cause that looks to be one tight coaster.  you definatly won't have the freedom you get from a B&M or Vekoma, but I don't think this was meant to compete with them.  I think that this looks more like a family ride.  kinda like an extreme mouse coaster.

Mayday - Memorial Day Weekend - Nonpoint, Nickelback, Oleander, Staind
Ozzfest - June 8 - Drowning Pool, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Black Sabbath
Awake Tour- June 15 - Darwin's Waiting Room, Puddle of Mudd, Deftones, Godsmack

Not being a negative Nancy here, but that thing just screams carnival ride.  It should be called the Turtle cause that's what the people look like while riding.  Or better yet the Cocoon.  SFEG deserves something better than that.  But I'm not a big SFEG mark, I guess I better let the SFEG home park'ers decide that.

Time flies like an arrow, fruit flies like bananas.
SFEG does deserve something better than that, but it is still a step up for SFEG.  SFEG just doesn't have the room or money for a "big" coaster.  I am still looking forward to this Volare, it is a great investment for SFEG.
Here is a description strait from ECC:

"The cars are upright in the station, with a chrome back section held out at right angles to it. You step into it, and when you're happy that you're on the correct foot rung, and your head is through the padded bars, the back section is pulled down and locked. You sort of feel like being in a sandwich toaster!

As the car moves forward a steel ramp, placed just before the lift tower, raises up back of the four-seat-wide car, and locks into place. It's so elegant, and so simple. You are then ready to go."

Sounds pretty good to me.

"The cars need some extra padding in places, and some removed in others. (ECC First Drop #57, pages 18-19).

GO CU! Big 12 Champs!

So what is this ride going to be called The Spainish Inquistition. We can play Monty Python's famous bit as you load into those cars a.k.a. The Pain of Torture! In one of the  pictures I think one of the riders have passed out from the pain.

Of course that's just my opinion I could be wrong~Dennis Miller
I doubt that the restraints will be that bad.  This is Zamperla's first "real" coaster so they are gonna do everything they can just to make it great.
That ride looks amazingly fun!  I hope that SFEG isn't the only park to get one of those...

Looking at the ride's colors, did Zamperla happen to buy paint left over from Dorney's Talon? :)

Wow, a flying mouse..
