Andrew Lloyd Webber on Thursday announced a sequel to his massively successful "Phantom of the Opera" that will be set at Coney Island. Opening in London, "Love Never Dies" picks up a decade after the original's conclusion, and has the Phantom trading his hideout beneath the Paris opera house for the iconic Brooklyn amusement park known for its roller-coasters and hot dogs.

I can see it now...

The phnatom ends up hiding in the "Shoot the Freak" game by day. Then by night....

They should have done it at Kennywood and called it Phantom's Revenge of the Opera.

Why are you even telling me this? Do you think I just woke up one morning and decided to move for craps and giggles?

Stranger things have happened... :)

KP, that was bad, might even be worse than some of Moosh or Gonch's.

somebody remember this thread the next time discussions of ACE nerds comes up.

Hey! We've got OTHER intrests besides coasters you know!

My dad's a heavy equipment mechanic (about as blue collar as it gets!) and has been know to dorp a opera into his CD player and play full blast!

We're just well-rounded. I look at coasters as much for their trill value as for their design.

Oh, I wasn't criticizing at all. I was just mentioning that this thread would be a good pot/kettle for the next time someone goes on a rant about ACErs

My apologies, Cred. I guess I may have misread your statement.

Yes, you do make a good point. We should not judge Acer's.

They are just like us, a bunch of coaster junkies. Then again, being an Ace'r SHOULD NOT give them the right to act like every park employee should worship the ground they walk on and the pot they piss in. I'm not saying this is every Ace'r, just the few who make the rest look bad.

I think it's safe to say most of us have lots of interests and layers to our lives. =)

Watch out for flying maps!

To misquote Shrek: "Coaster Fans are like onions, they have layers, lots and lots of layers!"

Shrek - "Coaster enthusiasts are like onions, you see?"

Donkey - "The smell funny and they make you cry?"

Shrek - "No, you idiot! they have layers!"

Sorry Andrew, but your over 30 years to late. KISS Meets the Phantom of the Park was already made waaay back in 1978.

They should set up a Nathan's hotdog stand in the lobby. Along with a walk through freak show. And the blast of air under the women's skirts a la Steeplechase.

Thank You LK.

Good idea bear. Heck, why not just build a replica of the Cyclone on stage while they're at it?
