I had to think a while about the recommendation by "Magnum is sinking" for adding a coaster to Greenfield Village. And the more I thought about it, the more I agreed: what a perfect place to rebuild one (or maybe even more) of the about-to-be-destroyed-unless-someone-takes-them old wooden coasters -- sort of the whole NAPHA idea, yes? Heck, maybe they can just build NAPHA's whole dream park right there . . . .
It would be a great idea. All it takes is money. Something Greenfield Village doesn't have a whole lot of. The Ford Foundation has given it a deadline to become self sustaining or it will be history. A lot of surplus attractions and inventory has already been auctioned off. The Foundation's "deep pockets" apparently aren't so deep.
Speaking of Greenfield village, I have always thought that Crossroads Village (near Flint, MI) would also be a great place for a classic coaster. They already have an antique carousel, ferris wheel, venetian swing ride, railroad, and paddle boat. A coaster would certainly be a nice addition, and if it were small enough and themed properly, it would fit in well.
I did hear Blands Park was considering building a woodie in the near future. Possibly a John Fetterman design (AKA: Knoebels Twister designer).
I was watching a coaster show and someone from Lakemont mentioned somthing about 2002! Altoona could become a new coaster mecca. :) A good pitstop for me on the way to Kennywood.

Can't wait to ride the new Ravine Flyer. I still think that that is the best name for a coaster I've ever heard. I don't know why.

I forgot to post this with thread, but here goes.
I think they should build coaster(s) at any WDW park. I need more coasters to ride!
