I am soon to be taking many college road trips that i wish to cross with coaster road trips, but need to know what parks are near the following colleges.

Univ of illinois

Purdue

Univ of Maryland

Virginia tech

Penn State

Ohio State

Renesslear

i want to know if there are any parks reasonably close to those.

Holiday World!

TOGO!
Go to www.rcdb.com and search by "location and distance." Perhaps you'll find a park that won't blow. ;)

I started out with nothing and still have most of it left.

University of Maryland is appoximately 20 min from SFA, 1hr 15 min from PKD, and 2 hr. 30 min from BGW pending morning traffic.
Which college is that (insert insult here) park near?

Patman, it's one thing not to like HW.

It's another to use every opportunity to insult the place, especially since, as you've admitted, YOU'VE NEVER BEEN THERE.

Maybe Purdue which is also in Indiana?? Depending on your direction of travel, Hersheypark and Kennywood could be on the way to Penn State - you'll need some sort of happy time before you enter the land of much-cow-crap and retirement-center-football Penn State Sucks! (sorry, just had to ... not totally, I have friends that go there, but its just the principle)

Lakemont is somewhat near PSU.

U of I is about 3hrs (I *think*) from SFGAm.

Purdue is about 50mins from Indiana Beach and 3 from SFGAm. It's also about 3.5hrs from heaven on Earth, aka Holiday World. Check that park out.

It tastes like burning.

University of Illinois - Should be about 3 or 31/2 hours to SFStL

Purdue - Legendary pretty much covered this one.

Penn State - Knoebel's is in the vicinity.

But you should do what millrace suggested, as my definition of near and your definition of near may worlds apart.

I would imagine that admissions at "Perdue" might be a little more willing to admit you if you knew how to spell the name of their school. Then again, it is hard to imagine anyone who loves to troll as much as you do, PatMan, could be over the age of 13 and wouldn't be taking college visit trips.

Holiday World is pretty close to all the schools you mentioned, 'cept MD and VT. Oh, and it's spelled P-U-R-D-U-E.

EDIT: I just realized that you might be visiting a chicken farm, which seems like a more suitable place of employment for you than college. My apologies.

What about the admissions folks at RPI.....don't think they'd be particularly *enamored* of that spelling, either....;)

Sorry bout the spelling and Holiday World is not that close to any of them, and you all know i won't visit that park.

What about Ohio state, Virginia Tech, and Rensselear.

I live 5 minutes from Ohio State's campus, but I refuse to help someone so stubborn as to not even give a park a chance, especially one that every single person who has ever been there loves.

Seriously, why are you so anti-HW? I would like to know.

Forget about Ohio State. The place blows.

You can throw PSU into that mix too.

And Purdue.

Don't worry, OSU will be much better once Campus Partners replaces all the independently-owned businesses with The Gap and Starbucks. Not.

Well, don't fret yet, you still have years to enjoy the acres of dirt and debris they've left after destroying the dozens of historic and architecturally interesting buildings.
