Parks near Cleveland

Erieview is also home to Northern Ohio's only remaining dark ride- the Bill Tracey designed Fright Zone.  While the stunts could use a little work as few of them feature any animation, it is nice to see a classic dark ride still in tact.  There's a neat map of the entire ride above the entrance with lights showing the operator where the car is at any given time.

The Fright Zone is located right next to the Times Square Grille, which sells the best fries I have ever had at an amusement park (sorry Kennywood).  For $4, you get a literal tray of fries.  They basically take about a half pound or so of fresh, greasy fries and dump them onto a plastic tray.  That's all I had for my dinner and I couldn't even finish!

Also Geneva-On-The-Lake is good for a few laughs.  There are many arcades, miniature golf courses, a Fascination arcade, tacky gift shops, tattoo parlors, and plenty of places to grab an adult beverage.  Well worth a few hours if you're on your way to Cleveland.

SFDL should only be about 2.5-3 hours from Cleveland.  Not a whole lot there, but S:ROS would be worth the trip.

Doesn't Erieview also have a NAD train? You know the ones where the train cars look like coaster cars.
