Parks near Cleveland

What are the closest parks to Cleveland?   I know CP and SFWoA are in the area but I want to know where some other parks are.

Well, it's not as close as CP or SFWoA, but PKI is a great choice.  Awesome park, and beautiful.

I pray that I will never see a Six Flags Conneaut Lake

No coasters at Erieview Kirby??? What about The BRAT? Built by the same company as the Thrill Coaster at Knoebles (whom I can't remember right now)
Need I mention Erieview is the only park in Ohio to Feature an Eyerly Octopus and Eyerly Roll-O-Plane?
There is also a PORTIBLE Flying Scooter

The BRAT is a wicked little ride, one of the best Kiddies I have been on.

Also, don't forget :

Memphis Kiddie park in Cleveland
The remains of Euclid Beach
The few rides at Dover Lake
The waterslides at Pioneer Waterland in Chardon
And oh yeah, the Indoor Amusement Park at the IX Center every April to May

Forgot about the Brat :)
(don't family parks have the best names?)

I haven't been there in a while but those were my first flyers :)
John, you'll be glad to know that they are featured on the front page of their site ;)

Gosh John, if I ever need some off the cuff trivia, I know who to ask! :)

Since PKI was mentioned, there's Wyandot Lake in Powell, Ohio (north of Columbus), which is home to the Sea Dragon junior wood coaster.

If your heading down I-71 S On your way to Wyandot Lake, make sure you look at the Remains of Chippewa Lake Park at the Lodi/Akron exit which is exactly 12.7 miles south of Medina. While At Wyandot, make sure you ride Geauga Lakes old Tilt A Whirl which now calls WL its home.

And if you are ever in Youngstown, go see the remains (and theres not much of them) of Idora.

There is a sweet indoor water park called Great Bear lodge.  Its really neat and better yet-its less than 20 minutes from CP it self!
If your on the way to CP, you might as well stop by Dave & Busters. It has a couple pool halls, good food, and all around a great place to stop by! :)

Something NEW is coming to the Buzz...
What about Hershey Park? Is that worth dropping by if you're in the area.  It's in Pennsylvania right?

Hershey park is "ONLY" a 8 hour drive from Cleveland

But while you are in Columbus, be sure and drop by our Dave and Busters. We also have a Gameworks and a 30 screen AMC theater.

there is also a restuarant dedicated to Euyclid Beach at what i think is the Euclid Square Mall. Not too sure on that one.

Actually we have our own brand new Dave & Busters right here on the west side of Cleveland. Complete with a Cedar Point coaster simulator!

are you serious? A CP sim? Now I know what do do with my off season :)

Yeah, It's pretty cool! You can choose to ride Mantis, Blue Streak, Mean Streak, Iron Dragon, Gemini, or Magnum. Of course it's nothing like the real thing, but it'll be better than nothing on a cold winter's day.

There was a Cedar Point Simulator out at the NY NY Hotel in Vegas. I felt close to home.

Great Bear Lodge is only 5 minutes away from CP. It looks like a great place to stay, I stayed at a hotel about 10 minutes away from CP the last time I went up on October 20.

Ironically, Great Bear Lodge's GM is Jeff Lococo, who was the GM Geauga Lake and Wyandot Lake for a bit
