Parks near airports

Hey everyone. Just curious, what parks are nearby to major city airports. The reason I ask? I just got a job working for America West, and I fly for free now. Looking to start hitting some parks up. Of course, being that off season is nearly upon us for most parks, looks like I might have to put some trips off until next year.

Also, nearly all of my coasters have been obtained in SoCal, Orlando, and Cedar Point, so I have a lot of stops to make! ;)

Thanks for any info.

Well, if you fly into Louisville you could go to SFKK. It's not a great park but when its not crowded at all it a lot of fun! I got to ride Twisted Twins 11 times in a row before I got off and also Greezed Lightnin' 6 times in a row!! SFKK is not very far from the airport because when I was on Chang I saw some planes coming in and out of the airport!

Does Allentown have an airport? If so, Dorney Park might be feasable.

There are parks real close to airports but not right next to them. I know SFKK is right next to the airport. Allentown has a airport which is about 20 mins from the park.

I'm sure you can manage your way Coney Island from JFK thanks to good 'ole public transportation.

SFGAm is about an hour north of O'hare.

I think you can practically hop onto 294 North from O'hare and take it all the way out to Gurnee.

SFOT isn't ever far from the DFW airport. In fact, I've heard the airport uses the Oil Derrick as a guide for planes.

The San Jose airport is really close (like 5 miles) away from PGA. And SFOG isn't too far away from the airport in Atlanta.

SFGAm is really only about half an hour from O'Hare.
The Allentown-Bethlehem International Airport is minutes from Dorney. I believe, from what I understand, that is why they have such strict height restrictions.

Carowinds in NC is across town from the Charlotte International Airport, and SFOG in Atlanta is near Three different Airports.

Cincinnati Inter. is approx. 30-40 minutes away from Paramount's King's Island. Not really close, but PKI is worth the drive!
Richmond, VA's airport is really close to PKD and only about 35 minutes to BGW. DWF is really close to SFOT, when I flew in their earlier in the year we descended right over the park, pretty cool. SFFT is also very close the airport in San Antonio. Newark, NJ is a little less than 30min from SFGadv. SFOG is also only about 15 minutes from ATL Hartsfield.

I can practically promise you that it'll take longer than 30 minutes to get from EWR to SFGAdv -- unless you're traveling at 3 am or something. I'd be surprised if you could get out of that airport in less than 30 minutes sometimes.

It takes me 30 minutes to get to SFGAdv from the Molly Pitcher rest area on the NJ Turnpike -- at about exit 9.

KK has UPS 747s taking off about 500 feet over your head, low slow, and very heavy.

Pretty cool to see actually.

It's never taken me less than 45 mins to get there. Just how fast do you drive? :)

Kaldaim.

If you dont run into any serious traffic, you can make it from SFGAm to O'Hare in 30 mins.

SFGAm is also about 30-45 mins from Mitchell airport in Milwaukee.

As duckboy mentioned, you constantly see UPS planes flying right by SFKK.

SFA is roughly 40 minutes from BWI. SFAW is 15-20 minutes (I believe, I wasn't driving), from Houston Hobby (limited airlines).

Scandia Screamer is just up the road from Ontario (SoCal).

Definitely worth a quick visit.

Knott's Bad-A$$ Berry Farm isn't too far from John Wayne (pilgrim) Airport in Orange County.
