Parkitect early build available

The latest batch if anyone is still paying attention:

As usual, you can click through to get info on the rides.

I just picked up on this thread yesterday. I certainly hope they get this thing close to the playability that RCT2 had. The coaster editing in this game is what I had been asking for over a decade ago.

Gonch: How do you roll with the inability to backward edit tracks? I can't do it.

It's why all my endings suck.

People are already starting to mess around and mod the game. Here's an attempt at a coaster cam and he used my Mega Park file as the example.

Advantage of building in a 3D environment, I presume?

I saw I can get a pre-alpha build by backing them $15 on KickStarter? This seems very worthwhile even at this stage.

Perhaps you could rename "Midnight Run" to the "Charles Grodin Coaster".

That on-ride vid looks infinitely better than any POV in RCT3.

That one should be part of the actual game, not a mod.

Not sure if it's a game glitch or a mod glitch, but the chain goes faster than the train on the lift.

I suspect it will become part of things - especially since people are working this stuff out so early in the development process. I mean, this is like a year away from finished product still.

Damn, I make some neat parks. I might need to jump into RCT World when it comes out.

The frame rates aren't great having that unconstrained ability to move around. I suspect that's also why they don't let you zoom out further... too much stuff on screen to draw.

Yeah. I believe there's still a long way to go in optimizing that stuff.

Went ahead and threw in my $15.

My bargain-basement laptop doesn't enjoy when too many things are happening in the park. I'm going to try it on a better PC system later.

Still trying to learn the controls / break my RCT habits.

The coaster builder is so much more advanced than RCT. With that in mind, it could definitely use a few more options for slope. You can't really make steep drops. Vertical would be wonderful, but no doubt harder to code. Animations shouldn't be an issue with this design. (The addition of cross-grid/diagonal elements would be incredible, but I'm not expecting it.)

And the coaster cam and peep cam mods are up too:

I have to admit that I'm going to just kind of wait for backwards track building. It's just too frustrating without it, and I suppose RCT can be blamed for that. But yay for helices!

Not sure if anyone else figured it out but, do not delete the station as the designer doesn't let you place a new one.
