FACT: Edge had a malfunction in the lift mechanism and it fell back (no anti-rollbacks on it then) and injured 3 people. NO ONE DIED! It now operates at Mr Hydes Nasty Fall at SFWoA.

I have heard this before and I always assumed it was true. Are you sure this is an urban legend?

You know that Magnum is sinking into Lake Erie!
Oh yeah and King Cobra has a large crack at the top of the loop that they have to weld every year before the park opens and then again half way through and so they are going to take it out after this year.

On a Serious note the women did actually fall to her death on Flight commander. The restraints had to be modified and the ride was not ridden by many people ever again.
This is a story that talks a little about it.

On the same day 2 more people died in the pond by the Viking Fury. There was a bridge going from the Festhaus to Oktoberfest gardens over the pond. Some kids were playing around and one fell in and was electrocuted. His friend went in to save him and was fried as well. A third passerby went in after both of them and was electrocuted too. He survived but the other two did not. It was found that the fountain in the middle of the pond, near the bridge, had some frayed/faulty wires and caused them to be electrocuted as well.

I also think that this may be fact. It IS a fact that there is an entire underground system beneath the Magic Kingdom. It is used for employee's (cast members;)) to travel throughout the park. There are hidden entrances throughout the park... Mostly in the restricted areas inside buildings and behind attractions, but there are some hidden in the park that the Mikeys and Goofy etc. use. If you have time, try following a mascot around for a while, and suddenly it will go behind some lusch greenery/horniculture, and be gone. No joke, I tried it myself after I was told by a friend... I didn't believe it either!

...yeah I remember seeing that on a TV special a while ago...long before I was coaster enthusiast. Weird how I'd remember that now...

I've heard one... The Blue Streak at CP was on fire at the turnaround, yet the ride ops didn't know. When people got back to the station, they couldn't talk because their lungs had been burning. And anyone who ate fried foods after riding The BS (hehe), died. A total of 478 people died from it...
Yes, I'm sure that the Disney World thing is urban legend, because we picked up a trash can and looked underneath it. Although it is true that most of the Magic Kingdom is, in fact, second floor, the thing about the trash cans is not.

Well, i won't go into any details here, but everyone knows that PKI is by far the most haunted park. Sometimes those ghosts in the woods can get pretty pissed.

The day that I spend more time analyzing the rides than screaming my head off like a moron is the day that I hope someone will kick my in the love sausage and tell me not to be a moron. - Jeff
At the old Chain of Rocks park in St. Louis there was a walk-thru haunted house that was never opened any of the years we had our school picnic at the park. Being intelligent 1st graders, we all knew it was because someone died in it. Standard practice was to go peek through the crack in the doors and run off screaming.

Jeff
Jeff Finazzo,
You know of Chain of Rocks park? I've been searching for a long time to talk to about this one time great park but have had no luck. My searches have come up empty handed as well. My Dad told me stories about how they used to sneak into the park when he was a kid. Sorry for the OT stuff folks. Just kind of excited.

God please let SFKK get something this year. ANYTHING!!
A famous one at Belmont park is that the train flew off the Giant Dipper, crashing into the Jack in the Box across the street.
Some Dorney stuff mostly BS from stupid people.
IT'S TRUE

Steel Force was built on an underground sink hole and is decending into the earth at a rate of 4inches a year. It will be taken down in 4 years when its too dangerous to ride.
No, im jst kidding it is BS but so many people believe that Cedar Fair would build a 10 million dollar coaster that will be taken down 8 years after it is built. It seems like a knock off Cedar Fair's myth.

Here is a true one. Its true cause i saw it some one on Steel Force chucked a two ft. tall stuffed pikachu form the top of steel force and it struck a ride on ThunderHawk. I was in the train when this happened. After this ThunderHawk closed for several hours so they could inspect the track and make sure it as safe. Autually this is BS too. Some people I met swear it happened.

Oh, and Paratrooper is bieng refurbished and will be brought back next year. I hope this is true...

The Bat fell off the track and killed several people when it crashed into the ground.

IT is funny you said that because I have heard a story about three girls getting on bat at pki. The girl that sat on the inside was extremely large. On one of the turns the excess weight caused the to lean out more which supposedly hit a tree killing all three girls. Also legend has it that there is a little girl that stalks the park at night. she is known to play hide and go seek with the tram drivers.

Team Berserk Blue

Actually this one isn't a legend at all, a boy did fall from a free fall ride at PKI it was on the news 2 years ago.
was flight commander the same as PKD's defunct sky pilot ride?
This is some weird stuff.

I got this link on coaster buzz like a year ago about all the conspiracys on Disney and their parks anyone have that link ?
...why do I keep hearing people say that PKI is haunted? Did this inspire R. L. Stine to write the book The Beast?

In Disneyland, The Carousel of Progress killed a female worker who was narrating the ride. It happened when she stepped onto the moving, and non-moving floor and was crushed by the wall.
coasteraddict,

Nobody has ever died on Drop Zone at PKI. The ride was closed down during the investigation into a death at PGA, where a boy did fall and was killed. You can read about it at:
