I am with you coasterpunk. GCI's are the best. Sure they are smooth, but damn they are an incredible ride. People under rate them cause they don't have the forceful air of say Phoenix at Knoebel's Grove. I think for the type of coaster they manufacturer it isn't necessary. In my mind they are like the B&M of wooden coasters.

If you don't think they can throw you the right way just ride he Wildcat at Hersheypark. That is truly an amazing coaster, and I continue to enjoy it year after year. The front seat is the best by the way.

GCI can't go wrong. Whatever they build they will come(GP that is.) They are incredible rides. I just wish Mike Doodley was still part of it all. Rather than being a consultant. Him & Clair really made Summers & Dinn look good. When all of their rides now are heavily braked, and no more fun to enjoy.

Bill -I do not think that Legendary is being rude. He is just pointing out that a number of the posts to this topic should be handled via email.

Vacoasterfreak - Plug N Play is the new wooden track system/method used by Intamin where the track sections are milled out of single pieces of glued laminated wood instead of building up layers of wood as is the norm.

While you and Jim are correct about making the point that most of the posts on here could have been made via email, I don't think you had the right to point it out here. In an "oxymoron type of way" you could have pointed that out in an...email. ;)

vacoasterfreak: An Intamin plug'n'play is one of Intamin's new wooden coasters that use computer aided manufacturing (CAM) to precisely cut laminations for the track. This provides a much smoother track than tradional wooden coasters that stack lumber on site to build the track. This technique may be the key to building woodies over 100 feet tall that don't shake your fillings out. Unfortunately there aren't any of these coasters in North America yet.
The thing is (and Wildcat porves it) that a coaster doesn't have to be big to pack a nice sized punch while being smooth.
