Ouimet says every Cedar Fair park has a spot for a dark ride

Posted | Contributed by Jeff

Cedar Fair — the parent company of Knott's Berry Farm, Cedar Point and Canada's Wonderland — has already introduced a pair of interactive dark rides and plans a portfolio of future attractions under the banner of Amusement Dark. Canada's Wonderland unveiled Wonder Mountain's Guardian in 2014 and Knott’s plans to open Voyage to the Iron Reef on May 15. Both attractions were designed by Montreal-based Triotech, a relative newcomer to dark-ride manufacturing.

Great Idea Cedar Point could have a monster theme and MA could get a Paul Bunyan theme! The possibilities are endless!

Michigan's Adventure probably couldn't have it's own original theme. Would have to be a hand me down from another CF park.

Berenstain Bears Earthquake Adventure dark ride? I'm sure there a few set pieces in a warehouse somewhere....

Berenstain PIRATES Earthquake Adventure... With blown, big block engines powering the boats. Not sure how we would fit the dragster tires into that theme though?

But then again, what do I know?

I can see worlds of fun getting a dark ride themed to eight days around the world.

That'd be awfully quick. I assume you meant Around The World In *80* Days...

But yeah, that'd fit!

The amusement park rises bold and stark..kids are huddled on the beach in a mist

Yeah I forgot exactly what number so I guessed eight. I think they could put in different monsters from the different areas that the park has sections for, so maybe some dragon or ninja for the orient, etc

I wonder if Gilroy Gardens will get one since they are technically a CF park.
