Orient Express curiosity

I do have a picture but it was taken before I had a digital camera and thus, not available to you :)

The missing structure is very subtle - a few of the skinny upright columns are missing as well as some of the diagonal cables (can't think of the proper term for those right now!). You can kinda imagine it in this picture:

The queue railings are also missing some horizontal pipes.

The whole thing is pretty horrid looking and pictures of it looming over the weed encrusted back edge of parking lot really make Camden appear to be extremly run down and/or abandoned. See here: http://www.coasterbuzz.com/rollercoasterphoto.htm?i=1273 The Skyride in front is actually operational! The support towers have finally been repainted! The rest of the park doesn't look that bad.

Does anyone have a picture or a detailed description of Orient's layout? I am trying to immortalize it in RCT. Much obliged in advance!

Wow! That thing looks like crap! I heard that some steel was removed for "other uses" within the park... is this the first case of a steel coaster being recycled?

The steel they removed is basically just pipes. It could have been used for any number of things - or nothing at all. Who knows (I want to know)?

What's odd is that as crappy as that Thunderbolt area looks, behind it lies what is probably the most attractive portion of the park.

I remember hearing that some of the steel was reused, perhaps as handrails or something. Not sure how accurate that is, though.

I don't know, but the structure is obviously stalble since somebody climbed it to put that American Flag up. If anything they are waiting for the money to
re-furbish it because if they wanted to get rid of it, they easily could've sold it for the steel, plus they would've taken the train off I would believe
Seems if they wanted handrails they could have just used the old queue railings as-is instead taking them apart piece by piece over several years!
