LOL, nothing gets a gangbanger more rabid than one of Colonel Sanders Breasts.

Hmmm...so concealed weapons made crime rates go down? I wonder if the same line of reasoning, when applied to countries having nuclear weapons, would make the world a safer place?

It is probably best to stay clear of posts like super7’s when piggybacking a political view. I think you are smart enough to know an intelligent post from a troll. No matter how much you may agree with the troll in this case, it is best to let this one go. You're a better person than this... :-)

neogeo,

Neither one of them live in the D.C. area.

Now, who is calling who a retard?

Jeffrey, you're right. Heh heh. But I thought it an interesting point to discuss regardless of the source. ;)

But again, I find myself in the middle on this. Why should someone else have these tools and not me? What makes them so special? On the other hand, am I willing to give up certain rights to feel safe? This seems like a question that BOTH sides have been pondering lately.

But yah, even if I feel like saying "right on! down with dubya", someone like that doesn't help the left side much. This is from someone who actually might have been OK with a republican like McCain.

Back to the topic, this type of junk goes on wherever there's a gathering of people. It stinks that it is touching something that we hold dear to our hearts. I'm glad that some parks do their part to make us feel safe. Heck, that's the whole point right? We want to go out and have fun with our families or friends. From what I understand, it is stuff like this that lead to the doewnfall of those wonderful piers on the West coast. My uncles and aunts tell me they wouldn't step foot in those places in the 70's unless they had a death wish or needed a fix. That's probably why they aren't still around.

Makes you wonder how Magic Mountain has managed to stay in business...aside from the other problems.

This topic totally turns the coaster enthusiasts view on this park. Besides the entire location thing. The park is not very bad at all, they have improved a very good amount this year, all rides run, everyone is nice an polite this year, there doing an outstanding job. The shooting was outside the park GET over it! I do live in the DC area, acually about 10 minutes from SFA. Yes we have lots of crime, and yes theres lots of stuff about murders in the news and stuff. Don't let this affect your desicion to go to SFA. It is a park that shouldn't be missed this year. They really have turned there act around. Lots of parks in "ghetto areas," two words for you, Cheap Land.

I have not thought about all the old parks that have closed due to "riff raff." This is a scary point to ponder. Tons of parks have indeed sited crime as a primary factor in closing their doors in our history. I thought "POP" admission policies stopped that kind of thing. However, we are starting to see a trend...
I was there at the scene of this incident this past sunday! It happened inside the parking lot near the hill where the new slide was built. As I was leaving with my friends, we were near that hill and we heard a shoot and we ducked. After that, we ran to our car and all we saw as we left was a bunch of PGPDs on the site.

I went the following day, (monday) and the place was full of police and the security was strict as hell....So, dont worry the security has increased and I believe that the area is now safer than ever!!!

Even though this incident occurred outside the park, it brings up an interesting topic. So forgive me if I don't get over it. ;)

Eric - Who hasn't let the bad side of town get in the way of eating the best tacos in the world over in National City, and would LOVE to visit SFA.
