On-ride photos that "vanished"

The "blackout" screen in the Villain's photo booth at SFWoA still had the Raging Wolf Bobs logo last summer- someone once said that some of RWB's photo equipment was cannibalized for Villain...

roadkill
(who still remembers SFWoA printing, clipboarding and throwing out all the unwanted or empty black and white pictures before monitors were used...)

Hercules's photo booth was closed entirely last season, as told by the ride ops (I asked every time i was there, adn they all said the same). Even though the eqipment/camera is still there, Hercules just isn't too popular anymore. I'm guessing thats why they did'nt open it this season.

Hercules didn't have the on-ride photo thing for years. they closed it in the mid-late nineties around the time steel force was built.
In 12 days, this topic will be 2 years old. Why did you bring it back? Oy. I guess the forums have been kinda slow lately...

I've often wondered from time to time, how to write good poetry- and make it all... Work.
SFWoA's Mind Eraser still has the pole the camera was on, but the camera is no longer there. On another note, someone said that SFNE's Cyclone no longer has pictures? I was there in August this year and almost bought my picture from the stand. When did they do away with this?

Almost all the rides at SFMM lost there's right before X opened but then all of them suddenly showed up again. Superman is still missing his though.

Superman has been missing its on ride photo for a quite a while. It wasn't there at all in 2002...

Canyon Blaster and Rim Runner at the Adventuredome seem to have photos off and on. They were using inhouse equiptment so maybe that's why? Canyon Blaster was never really able to get the second row in each car. In addition, the monitors at the exit of Canyon Blaster haven't worked in years.

...and such

you know i just replied to this thing and i just realized how old it was...lol

i even noticed my old screenname!

I think this topic should be replaced by the worst possible placement for a camera.

I nominate Steel Dragon 2000! ;)

Rob - who just couldn't resist

The Flying Turns makes all the right people wet - Gonch

Joker's Jinx's camera disappeared one summer, and the next Batwing's disappeared. You can still get your picture on Roar! and S:ROS (well at least you could...)
Face/Off's cam wasn't in operation for 2003. THe booth became the Beastie's booth
I nominate the Great Bear, nasai.

It's right at the brakes I think the back of the train is slowing down as the picture is being taken. Pretty pathetic.

How about Best placement as well?

The worst I've personaly seen is on SOB, occuring before the lift.It isn't that bad though.

The best I've seen is on Tennessee Tornado, which is in the tunnel drop.

And for most hilarious, Scooby Doo and the Haunted Mansion, oh my mom's face was priceless.:)

So did Adventure Express have a little shack for the pictures? And when did the park tear it down?

-Congo Falls - 90 rides (one day) -Murder of the Orient Express (1980-2003)
I think it would be cool that the American Eagle's photo was at the bottom of the first drop. But, it probably wouldn't get that great of quality, though.
I thought the first one was Rebel Yell, 1977... :)

("Naah, he called me on the phone and told me to take a picture of the man in the dark glasses on the rollie coaster...". I want to know how he got it processed so quickly...)

(SOMEONE certainly knows what I'm referring to...)

Lets see I know that Mr. Freeze at SF.St. Louis the on ride photos for that dissappeared in 2003. Ya it was replaced by tables!

BTR at SF. St. Louis still has the booth sitting there saying on ride photos but its just never open. I mean gosh if you're not going to sell them anymore take down the sign!

THE SCARIEST PART OF THE RIDE IS THE LIFT HILL!
I second the SOB placement for worst. Whoever thought about placing cams before the lift? Let PKI make that improvement for that ride and see how many pics are sold. I'd buy one if the cams were at the bottom after the loop.
Before the lift makes perfect sense on SOB...snap the photos before the riders start getting really beaten senseless...

lol funny

(Rollercoaster! quote?)

I rode the Kumba ay Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. My on ride photo that I got was extremely blurry. It also seemed that the flashes didn't even work at all. I rode in August of 2003.
The Viper at SFDL still has one and it is operating....the Mind Eraser and Predators are gone though.
