Oh, as for the cost of adding sound to trains themselves, I know disney's method is extremely expensive, as it involves sensors that use the car's location to play specific cues. Otherwise, as in the above example at the top of the lift, the differences in how fast the trains navigated the course would prevent synchronizing specific musical effects with specific ride moments. The synchornizing of sound and experience is key to completing the emotional response Disney's looking for in using music in the first place.
