Ok. I caved in and grabbed a copy.

Wow that was pretty good!

But then again, what do I know?

Another pretty great dark ride. Some pretty creative ideas in this even if it's not as detailed as some of these rides can be.

I haven't fired up the game in weeks and probably never will again, but I find myself checking these out on YouTube. I appreciate the creativity and still don't understand the mindset that puts in so much time and has enough patience to make things like this.

What's the word for "weirded out by the sheer tenacity and amount of effort put into this dumb game, but appreciative of the ability and enjoy admiring the work"? Because that's what I am when it comes to these.

I think its all relative. Because whatever word that is, I would use to describe the work you have posted here of your own.

If I had no wife, kids, or career (hence, if I was in my teens or young 20's) I can completely understand the time/effort; in fact I can see myself getting into this sort of thing, Alas, I will happily enjoy the creations of others. :)

Another example of very simple (and obvious in hindsight - all the best ideas are) ingenuity.

Bury benches in your scenery and guests interact like real life:

This is neat. Different idea. Probably pretty unrealistic as it seems that large portions would be taken inverted...or maybe I was really that disoriented? Worth it just for the cool entry and exit tunnels.

No, I think you're right. The supports will always orient toward the ground.

Ahhh! Good point.

Has anyone else checked out Pixel World yet? The level of detail is amazing and all of the rides are extremely elaborate. It took me almost two hours just to work my way through the park to check everything out.

I just grabbed this during the Steam sale. Although I really had to butcher the game settings to get it to run on my 5 year old computer, It's still impressive even on low settings. The details and the things you can do are incredible. This kicks RCT's butt. I'm not touching that piece of crap known as RCTW.

No one is. It's currently sale priced at $4.94

It seems your intel i7 GPU isn't registering right..I had the same problem.. try updating the drivers.. an i7 should have more memory than rhat

While I agree the simulation aspects of the game a very lacking the real core of this game is in content creation and sharing said content. I have personally theorized that the main reason this game didnt focus on the sim aspect of the game was they figured RCT World was going to focus on that and they would have to go after a different market, Not knowing how bad RCTW would be.

Anyways the things possible in the game are endless on the creative side and to me the things people come up with are flat inpspired.

Here are my 2 most popular projects.

So, after years of living in the dark ages, I finally bought a Dell PC. My 9 year old boy has been patiently waiting for me to buy one, mainly because of this game. I've only had the chance to play once, but a few thoughts. One, I do like that it's not in blocked sections like RCT, but I think for him anyway, it could be useful at times. I do like the way you can do paths, but I would like to do a midway. Have not figured out how to do that, so any tips would be appreciated. I've only played it once, whereas he's played several hours on it. The customizing of coasters is nothing short of outstanding. What amazes me even more is how quickly he's picked up on how to custom build coasters. Meanwhile, dad is struggling a little. It's ok cause I have a 9 year old teaching me (haha!)

The only downside (and it was not really a big deal to me, but a huge deal for an impatient 9 year old) is it took about 7 hours to download. I'm connected at 5G Wifi. The computer itself is an i5 processor. Maybe this is typical for this game. No idea.
