Do you guys think everything that needs to be open by May 23 will be?
shorty, a water "coaster" is basically a couple of slide where riders sit on a dingy in complete darkness. That is if I remember right.

Excalibur Crew for 2002!
John....most definately. Everything looks to be rolling along just fine. With that in mind...here's a little news...
Ripcord has gone vertical. Sat and watched as the final piece was put in place not 2 hours ago. Looks mighty sweet sitting back there like that. The actual lift tower looks a little ascewed to the right when viewing from the parking lot on the south side of the park. Not sure if the actual "swing" tower is sitting with a slight angle or not, kinda hard to tell from my vantage point. Will have to see if I can get a little closer to find out. Should be quit a thrill sailing out over the lake, I can't wait.
The supports for "Hydroblaster" are up and the actual slide pieces are sitting waiting to be put up. VF Fan is right on with his memory, in this case only one slide will be enclosed totally. The other will not be.
I was shown an artists rendering of where all the rides will be and the "Elephants" and "Airplanes" will be right across the path from the "Scale Game". I do believe this is where they were before...just adjusted a little to make some room for "Dodgem".
Choas is gone...seeya...adios...no longer there. The arm and some of the signage are the only things left to be removed. I'm sure they will be gone in the coming days.
Something to mill about in our heads for thought....there is a groomed mound(large pile so to speak) on the north side of ST...now it's been reported and is now known that "Timbertown Railway" (new train) will be rolling in that non-developed area of the park, but this has me curious. It's black dirt as well...not the native brown sand/clay that is in that part of the park. Hmmmm.....anywhos...more to come in a couple of weeks...I'm off to IOA next week.

*Michigan's Adventure Is The Best Park On Earth*
As far as ride locations:
T-bolt -> Chaos
Dodge'ms -> T-Bolt
Next winter, we will be seeing all sorts of new light fixtures going up since the park would like to remain open later. they already added an hour to their closing time from last year.
Next year will be different. Expect to see a rapids ride or a large S&S Tower thingy and probally a Camp Snoopy (thats just a guess)
Have there been any other new developments in the last few days?
Stopped by twice in the last few days, I grabbed my video camera today, and took some stills off of the vid, enjoy!

Everything appears to be ready to go, aside from the construction mess. I mean...last year two days before Pysics day the Ferris Wheel carts weren't even on! A lot of things got some great TLC...new boards on Wildcat even!! Maybe I'll ride that more than twice this season . Thunderbolt stuff seems to be lying everywhere, but they'll get it together. Until Friday: Season Pass processing !!!

Great pics ST Chick. I can't wait until my next visit! I had the choice of going to SFGAm or MIA this year and I picked SFGAm since I haven't been there since 1994, and I did go to MIA last year, so I will be coming to MIA in 2003 (keeping my fingers crossed for something coaster too!).

Well you will see changes aplenty! :) Went by today and yes that mysterious structure in Kara's photo is indeed signage. Very nice signage as well. I think all will like the nice touch of class it adds to the entrance. Looked as if there was a big meeting today for the employees...then again I didn't see anyone out and about milling around the park so who knows. The lot on the northwest side was full of cars. The paint on Logger's Run is an eggshell white color, T-Bolt is sitting in its new home now, and this just in....they are sprucing up the station on Corkie. Yeah...woohoo...all window dressing i'm thinking...but hey, I thought Frog Hopper was in a place that it has NEVER ever been in .... something's in the water. Season passes are lovely...can we get a re-shoot on these bad boys? No...you don't like your picture, then you must not like yourself. Anywhos...lata's....
