Odd rumor involving KBF and WOF

But, Playa', that description fits ALL of the rides at Valleyfair!, doesn't it? :)

If Valleyfair! and KBF and Holiday World are all removing their Falling Star rides for 2003, what does that say for the ride? I mean, we don't know how the ride has treated Cedar Fair, but we know from Paula that it has treated Holiday World pretty horribly in the past couple of years.

I thought Zierer built the Fireball, and indeed, both of the North American installations are in parks whose names contain the word "Knott's".

Yeah, cause the Knotts Family bought 2: 1 for Knotts Berry Farm, 1 for Knott's Camp Snoopy. They also bought two roto shakes, Hammerhead for KBF, sledgehammer (?) for Knotts Camp Snoopy. Then they also bought two Zierers/Tivolis: Ripsaw and Jaguar. So KBF and Camp Snoopy are a little alike.
Besides from the obvious, the name.

If it ain't broken, don't fix it.

I have the perfect place for the Tumbler. Right where the ERC was at SFGAm. That is a fantastic flat ride. If they do take it out, I hope it goes somewhere else.

Dave, I *thought* I had found out previously the Tumbler was Zierer, but then found NOTHING on their website about the ride....perhaps they discontinued it after sales were....slow. ;). If Tumbler does leave KBF, it had *better* go to another CF park, scrapping it would be a crime if they're really not making any more of them!

The Falling Stars do seem to be falling all around us. Perhaps they have just hit their useful life-span. SFKK's I think was *suffering* from downtime issues as well.

Speedy, it was more than just an illusion, I was quite SURE we'd make contact with the other gondola...:). Good times! Oh, and MoA's *HammerHead* is called Timber Axe...the only inverting ride there apparently.

Well I hope wherever tumbler goes it gets more ride ops. Xcelerator and Perilous Plunge have stolen all the ride ops. There are literally 6 on each, yet one on rides like Montezummas revenge, Bommerang and the Tampico Tumbler. The cycle times were always like 10 minutes too. Those ride ops needed to go through rehab when the ride did.

Anyways, all of the grandslammer's safety signs and such have been removed, as visable in the westcoaster.net update yesterday.

My bad, wasn't sure on the build dates for those rides. But still, a close call is a close call.

You're telling me! I've done the left side of the GranSlammer and let me tell you, it's unnerving!
