Nuisance threads

I hope that this doesn't fall on deaf ears...

I thoroughly enjoy this site and visit it daily.  I am 27 years old and respect the thoughts and ideas of others.  When I reply to a post, I try to make sure that it keeps the thread going in a positive direction.  If I BEGIN a post, then I really go to great lengths to make sure it's pertinent and relevant.  I check old threads to make sure that I'm not rehashing week old topics.

I also know how Jeff isn't concerned with the number of posts or any of that.  However, I notice that several people with growing frequency have threads closed time and time again.

That said...   I was wondering if it might be worth looking at to institute some form of plan to keep new people who DON'T read the FAQ from putting silly, redundant, nonsensical threads up.  I'm not suggesting having a post limit before having the capability to start a thread, I was merely wondering if something might be in the works.  I know you had talked about limiting people's posting, but this might be a step further.

As always, thanks for the time you put into this site, and keep up the good work.
