I think I just saw them playing when I walked past Lucky Bastard last weekend.
Did you take their lunch money?
Promoter of fog.
I can tell you from limited inside experience that live entertainment consistently drives positive satisfaction surveys. I don't know how the argument drifted into "it's the death of Six Flags."

Im Not sure if anyone said the disappearance of live entertainment was the death of six flags? But it definitely Feels like part of the larger declining customer experience over the last 15-20 years.

No. Down here the bands take your money.
I was at Great Adventure yesterday and the DC Heroes and Villians show definitely was a hit with the families that were there. Like families not leaving that area of the park for the 3 hours I was in the area. Constant things to keep people occupied. Merch being purchased due to the MC of the event every so often between the main show parts pointing out the availablilty at nearby shops.
I worry because there is a report that Dead Man's Party has been canceled for Great Adventure's Fright Fest after they casted for it. This coming on the cancelation entirely of Holiday In The Park there. If this is true the park is going to take a huge financial blow and hit to attendance during Fright Fest.
They wonder why the attendance is down. You got one of the top markets being slapped with cancelation after cancelation. Removals of rides and delays of new projects constantly. It was not shocking to see a midway that should have been packed yesterday not even half full while the Harley Quinn portion of the show was going on.
Well here goes the neighborhood.
Haunt Mazes are now an upcharge chain wide.
Lawsuit threats are beginning in PA.
“Six Fair is giving everything away! They should charge more!”
*they charge more for something*
”Not that!”
They should charge more. And they should plan ahead to reduce the impact.
Props to Lake Compounce for announcing a year ahead of time that 2025 is the last season for their Holiday program. You know, before season passes go on sale...
Most of the GP isn't saying they are giving everything away. It's enthusiats that say that.
GP is going berserk right now becuase they say Haunt/FrightFest was promised when they bought the pass. I can see Six Flags saying you still get Haunt/FrightFest. You get the midway scare zones and shows. That's Haunt/FrightFest. Cause I believe there is language in the passes about attractions may change.
I was referring to people here. That said, show your work on “GP is going berserk.” I don’t think we’re going to see the masses show up with pitch forks and torches to file their class action law suits.

They should charge more for their season passes, especially the all parks pass, because people are willing to pay that and not feel ripped off in the process.
They coukd have have charged more for the waterpark ad on they should have charged more for a Winterfest add one, etc. at the time the waterparks and Winterfest etc were intriduced. Most people would’ve been fine paying and up charge for something extra.. But they included these with the low price season passes so now it’s hard to charge for them. I feel it’s going to be the same with the haunted houses
But when they make changes to past pass benefits, one year after the sale of the passes started and start charging for something that was previously included, people feel ripped off.
Cheap season passes then gouging for everything else is not a formula to success. Changing what one gets with a season pass a year after the season pass has been sold is not a formula to successIt does not leave the customer feeling good in the end.
General public doesn't even know about charging for haunted houses. They are not hyper focused on everything going on with the parks. Some of them likely have no intention of going to the parks during Sept/October. Others who go have no interest in haunted houses (doesn't matter if they are included with pass prices, are an upcharge, have long line or no lines at all). Some will find out about the upcharge when they visit the park and will pay it. Some of them won't be happy with paying but will soon forget about it and will enjoy the houses. Others will balk and refuse to pay. Some may well go "berserk" over the upcharges though I expect they will be small in number.
I advise friends who know enthusiasts to avoid talking with them about parks. Enthusiasts tend to overreact and want to ruin park experiences. They will tell you that, despite having a good time when you went to a park, you did it all wrong, you really had a horrible time, you should be upset with the park or list the parks you should have gone to instead. The last week or so have been all that on steroids here.

Why nothing you post is to be taken seriously. Price gouging is charging $500 for a sheet of plywood before a hurricane. A park charging a certain fee for a leisure activity is business. Stop using big words you don’t understand to get a reaction.
To me GP is the groups on Facebook that and other socials that talk about one park. Most of them don't go to other parks and yes they are getting seriously mad about this at Dorney and Kings Dominion. Parks I follow because they are the ones I go to. Calling it a bait and switch tactic.
Also check any page for the parks themselves where this was announced.
Today I expect Great Adventure's groups to explode since Dead Man's Party is gone. It wasn't listed in the Fright Fest announcements.
I'm not against the charges as it should end the endless conga lines in the mazes so that the scare actors can actually try to scare a higher percentage of those going through said mazes.

One of my favorite enthusiast activities is called “Screaming into the wind”.
Do you have to ride Windseeker first?
