Of all the sites on gaming, none have quite the "community" feel that CoasterBuzz has. I post here not only because of my fondness for thrill rides, but also because through the forums I've gotten to know some cool people. We all know that DDR is popular enough among Buzzers to sustain the longest continuing thread in CB history. Many times I've wanted to post related topics about games (Frequency, Pa-Rappa, etc.), but didn't because I didn't want to clog the forums with "irrelevant" material.
Obviously i don't know about the bandwith and technical issues, and if it takes a lot of effort and bandwith it might not be worth the time, but I think it would be cool to have a pleasant, moderated forum to discuss DDR and the other cultish musical games that for some odd reason coaster fans adore, as it's hard to find a place on the internet to intellegently discuss these games without noisemakers, flame wars, and other general annoyance. I'm also not suggesting advertising the forum at all; just let it be something the Buzzer's know about. That way it shouldn't draw away from the main purpose of the site, but would give people an extra reason to surf the Buzz, especially in the offseason.
Ok, that's my idea. If you don't like it, feel free to criticize, but I'd like to at least hear why you don't think it's a good idea, especially from forum moderators who may see practical problems that i've overlooked.
Thanks
~me

Six Flags: "Catapulting shameless apostasy to a new stratum of excitement and entertainment!"
Oh, and i'm the dude, not the cat. Although if you like to play make believe, i'm a cat who can use a computer.
I think this is a great idea! I think that Coasterbuzz should expand the horizons a bit. I mean we can get to know other buzzers better because I'm sure we have more in common than just coasters.
For example I love skiing and thats my favorite sport. Other buzzers can talk on these forums about where they like to ski. Just like DDR skiing would get a lot of posts since CB already has such a great community.
I tried starting up my own ski forum but no one has joined. If one was started up on here then I could talk to other buzzers about this great sport.
Thumbs up to that idea!
