No more suspended?!?

What is the last suspended that was built. I would think Big Bad Wolf.

Top Gun @ PKI - 1993

Big Bad Wolf was actually one of the earliest (1984) still standing - along with XLR8 @ SFAW

The Bat @ PKI (1981,Defunct) was the first

Caripro and Setpoint suspendeds are popping up all over. Yet Arrow suspendeds are obsolete. Hershey's Rollersoaker is a brand-new suspended.

I've traded in my 2000 Giovanola for a 2002 Arrow X4D :)
My other car is now an Arrow X4D!

Yeah, there are suspended coasters popping up but I don't think we will see the swinging cars for a while. I would like to see a really big Arrow Suspended.

Top Gun @ PKI is the last suspended coaster to be built, and just a little note, BBW was not the first suspended to be built even though that is what arrow says, The First was the Bat @PKI

Grampus Jet was 1994

Haya Busa 2000 was built in 1992 but layout was altered in 1997

Chessington Vampire got new trains in 2002

Wait one second! There is some sort of Arrow suspended coaster going to the new Speed Festival in Spain, the new park that opens in September 2003. The park will include an Intiman hyper coaster, Mack bobsleigh, and an Arrow suspended coaster.

argh, the dreaded over limit page!

I think Arrow is going to re-invent the suspeneded coaster. This time they will be a lot more thrilling.

RESIDENT EVIL: BIOHAZARD! Scaring up some HELL only on the NINTENDO GAMECUBE!!!!!

FoF, when people refer to BBW as being the first, they probably mean first succesful suspended....i would hope that most people on this site now know about the Bat and its demise....

one more thing, correct me if im wrong, but didnt BBW open in 1986?? and if it did, did XLR8 open that same year, or did it indeed open in 1984?? just wanted to set that straight....:)

Tim (whos always proud when a Virginia park can boast another coaster record, hehe:))

"hi, my name is Tim, and im a coasterholic"...."Hi Tim!!" hehe:)

Here is a qoute off of Arrow's site.

"The suspended coaster made its debut in 1984 with the XLR-8 at Six Flags Astroworld, and the Big Bad Wolf at Busch Gardens Williamsburg. Arrow currently has ten suspended coasters in operation all over the world. "

Yep, I really hope that they would build more of these cool creations.

X Looks Awesome! Oh Yea!!

I think the Ghoster Coaster at PKI is a suspended.

are these capable of any inversions at all? i should think it would be able to do an inline twist or something along those lines

Has anyone else seen the new vekoma trains for the arrow-built vampire? Definitely something that I'd like to see on Top Gun.

I love the Ninja at Magic Mountain. It isn't the scariest thing in the world, but it's just plain fun! It's so cool when it looks like you are about to crash into the post, but then you make a sharp turn.
Arrow is just digging themselves a hole. Every time a park asks them to make adjustments to rides, they turn them away....forcing the parks to have to deal with other companies. Just like the Vampire hang down.

As much as I love woodies, I also love Arrow suspended coasters. I'm all for a giant suspended coaster. Top Gun and Ninja are great rides. It would be nide to see a suspended with several major drops. A layout similar to Revolution would make for a great suspended coaster.
