No-Coaster Con wrap-up for Six Flags Great America

Posted | Contributed by rct_2000

At No-Coaster Con, Six Flags Great America had a presentation for the two coasters, which are not yet announced, but are confirmed. The Intamin Impulse is confirmed for the Yankee Clipper area of the park, and the Vekoma Super-Boomerang will indeed replace the Sky-Whirl. The coaster will be a Deja Vu clone, and will be the biggest, fastest boomerang in the Midwest thus far.

I'm just wondering if the Deja Vu clone will be as tall and fast as the version at SFMM??I sure hope it is, that would be really cool.

Millennium Force all the way!
could they make on 300 feet
I dont understand how they can call it a clone considering SFMM version isnt even built yet but none the less this news is no surprise. SFGAm is looking real sweet for 2001.

-------------
"DONT FIGHT IT, RIDE IT",,,,RAGING BULL
doesnt it cross over it self like in an x shape some how instead of like a traditional invertigo/boomerang layout?
Yes it does! I think that is such a cool twist.

Life's too short! Let's go ride some coasters!
Sounds awesome! Great America should remove the poorly designed Batman: The Escape. They should replace it with a B&M Floorless or a B&M Stand Up.

SFNE will have all the fun you can STAND in 2001!
SROS221,
First of all, it's Batman The Ride.
Second of all, What on earth is wrong with it's design. It's one of the best coasters in the park, second only to Raging Bull.
Yeah Batman:The Ride(not Batman: The Escape) has one of the bets designs out there. Even though it's been cloned millions of times, it is still on my top 3 list at SFGAm.

Millennium Force all the way!
agree very much w/rctcrazy.
batman THE RIDE is one of the best in the park... and almost beats CP's raptor because it never slows down, unlike raptor's break run.
B4 dissing a ride maybe you should give it enough of your time to at least learn it's name. :)
(sorry if I was harsh... batman's my baby)

I completely agree with you SFGAManiac. Batman the ride is almost better than CP's Raptor. That break run in Raptor kind of ruins the ride in my opinion. I have ridden Batman The Ride at both SFGAm and SFGA in New Jersey and they are both awesome just for the fact that they never do slow down and keep the excitement going.
I love Batman: The Ride (although I rode the mirrored version at SFStL) Great Intensity, and just all around fun.

You build it, I'll ride it...eventually
Well it's now Official!! I'm happy now that it will be a Deja Vu clone for sure. 2001 is going to be great!!!

"4 Seats are better than 2"
Yeah Yeah Yeah... Batman is good, but that spot will always belong to the Tidal Wave. Or as us ex-operaters of the ride, we called it T-Wave!
Fair enough for poeple who don't travel far, but two clones are not going to get me back to SFGAm in 2001. And IMO Batman: The Ride is far better than Raptor, because it's non-stop excitement in every seat, whereas Raptor was only any good in the front.

#Life is a rollercoaster you just gotta ride it#
Yes allright a can't wait for the 2 new coasters to be built. Deja vu looks so cool! The Midwest can be thankful once again.
Sorry people! Sorry, sorry, sorry, sorry. I thought SFGAm. was the one with the Intamin designed Batman: The Ride stand up coaster. I confused it with SFAstro. Sorry!

SFNE will have all the fun you can STAND in 2001!
Isn't SFGAm's Batman the first one?
Yeah, SFGAMs version of Batman:The Ride was the very first one.

-------------
Millennium Force all the way!
Not just the first Batman, the first inverted coaster ever.

-------------
Get wrapped in the coils of Viper at SFGAm.
