Sweet!

I wonder if the ability to ride RCT tracks will work with shuttle-type rides....

All right! RCT-importer! I put that in the wishlist somewhere in this forum, I think. I doubt he got the idea from me, I'm sure many people want that! I hope some website gets a lot of high quality props made. I know I suck at that sort of thing, so they won't be on my website unless I can find a 3d modeler...

Can somebody give me a direct link to the page that says this? I can't find it.

Do a little of your own work. No really, do a little of your own. Try using the scroll bar on the side of the screen. That will bring you to it! It's at the bottom of the main frame.

Riding RCT tracks?!?

Rapture!

Live on the edge and remember the Twist of Fate.

Yep. I am looking forward to that. I have some pretty cool tracks I have created in RCT over the years.

I wonder how smooth they'll be or if we will be able to tweak them in the designer interface...

Beer, my soon to be wife, coasters, and the FREEDOM OF SPEECH. Is this a great country or what!!

eh, actually ive tried out one of the rct converted tracks..they arent THAT great!!! the conversion makes it so its a very rough ride, and dont expect the coaster that was made in RCT to not valley in NL (unless it completed the circuit in RCT pretty fast). like the steep twist is kinda sorta very rough, and a "steep" camelback converted from rct uses like...6 control points from beginning to end, when you can make a normal one with 3, even 2...

What about wooden coaters?? That's a little disappointing.

I was so hoping that Ole would release the next patch version with wooden coasters added in there.

If you can import RCT tracks... then would it carry over all types such as the wooden, wild mouse, virginia reel, flying??

I wonder if they'll be converted and just turned into a Schwartzkauph or Arrow if it's not a B&M coaster.

IT sounds like a decent update, but rather disappointing. I'd like to see more pre-built trees and landscape objects as well.

DawgByte, if you really wanted to, you could design your own 3d trees. I know it would look much better than those flat trees in the game. Those just suck, I don't know why Ole put those in the game. He spent so much time on it, why didn't he spend the extra time making real 3d trees? It would look far better.

I think he wanted the real star of the engine to be the coaster, and not the decorations around it. Doing skimpy little trees like that saves on the framerate also. My worry over all these objects being able to be imported is that it can kill a frame rate. I prefer to put all of the polys to use in making a really good coaster, and never use trees to decorate other than to scatter a few in the landscape.

Amen, Ride_Op!
I'm more excited about fog and night effect. I dont think he will charge for this one but when the coaster patches come out he will.

A RCT converter sounds pretty sweet!

I saw on another site that someone has made a hamburger stall using Nolimits. I thought the new update wasn't done yet?

he did it using 3d imaging software. no limits just lets you import 3d image files (3ds) into the game.

Will I need the 3D imaging software when the new patch comes out?

No, you won't need any new software, unless you want to make your own. I think it would just be easier to download some from the internet.
