NJ Will Announec G-Force Regualtions On Monday

Gee, the petition would probably be a little more effective if the title was spelled right.

"Amuesment Parks Are Safe As Is"--give me a break.

**If I recall correctly, Taz would be the only US coaster in the relevant range

For one thing, the ride is named Texas Tornado (not Taz's Texas Tornado).

Secondly, the popular notion that the ride pulls 6.5 g's is unsubstantiated and Astroworld themselves maintain that they do not have measurements which back up such a claim.

Finally, the ride currently pulls NO g's since it hasn't been open for nearly two years.

No offense intended herein.

That said, online petitions are useless. No one of any stature, much less a politician is gonna care unless you write actual letters. The internet, while a bastion of knowledge and fun, isn't exactly the vehicle that's gonna put a stop to this. Online petitions have been used repeatedly to try to coerce networks to "please save ____ show from cancellation". If networks turn a deaf ear, do you think a politician will listen? He's clearly made this one of his platforms.

Sit down and pen a letter to his office detailing why you don't feel that this is a good idea. Be factual and don't use swear words. Also, you must give him substantial facts so he can't dismiss this as a bunch of 14 year olds who don't know better. If he receives enough ACTUAL letters, he will have to pay attention to them. An online petition can be readily ignored. You're fooling yourself if you think he's actually going to sit down and read through an online petition and change his mind.

Sorrrrrrrry folks! Parks closed. The moose out front should have told you.

Has anyone seen what the actual numbers and durations are in the New Jersey Law? I notice that the parks don't seem to be concerned with this law. It may be that the limits are high enough to not be a concern. Though, it does concern me as a matter of precident. I can already imagine Markey calling for lower G limits.

Also, has anyone heard of a death or serious injury in New Jersey that may have been caused by high G's?

New Jersey might be one of the few to pull this, Californa wants to be known as the state with the best coasters, why would they want to do this

Through this whole jumble, how many g's do you suppose a coaster like X or Raptor pulls in?? I hope that the restrictions do not get too much tougher than that. If they do, that could put a serious damper on the amusement industry's growth.

X Looks Awesome! Oh Yea!!

For the record, I don't like Markey either.
