"Nitro is a great coaster experience. escpecially at night! how can someone say its not explosive? where were they during the helix??? "

Nitro is a very nice coaster, but far from whaty I would consider 'explosive'. As I said before, it suffers from 'elaphantitus'. If one or two of hte bunny hills were about 10-15ft shorter, it would have GREAT ejctor air, but as is, it's just float (pas ma tasse de the'). The layout is a *bit* better than the run of the mill out and back. And my favorite parts were the two 'broken camelbacks' (e.g. the second hill).

As for where I was during the helix, I think I was asleep (joke ;))

I liked Nitro, but didn't love it. I found it too placid. I value intensity in my large coasters, and Nitro doesn't have it. I agree that Medusa has more intensity, and I also like Apollo's Chariot better.

SFA 2002-What are they building?

Well after riding Desperado last month, I can now say I've ridden all the hypers in the USA.  With that said, Nitro is number 1.

I've said many times how awesome this ride is, so I'll save my gushing this time.  Suffice to say, IMO, it must be pretty explosive to top my list out of over 300 coasters.  SFGAd and B&M sure squeezed out a winner!  :)

I would never judge a coaster before I ride it.  But, sometimes people just have first impressions.  Nitro looks like a more interesting layout, thats all I was pointing out about S:RoS and Nitro.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again.  You make me wanna throw up and give you a standing ovation all at the same time.  You make me sick!  :)

I consider Nitro to be top notch too. There are many factors I place on a coaster for me to deem it *top notch*. And I just think Nitro is among the best. Am I the only one who thinks Nitro is superior to Apollo and Raging Bull??

Dayuum, Your HOT!
I haven't ridden raging bull or apollo's chariot so.....

i rode nitro and i thought it was the best ride at great adventure (no surprise). it was smooth and had airtime in the back seat. maybe not as good as apollo's chariot.
With someone calling Nitro rough, I want to know what they were smoking.  I haven't ridden it yet, but a new B&M with no OTSR, it's got to be a smoooooth ride.  I do recall however some reporter at the opening of MF said that it was rough, so that goes to show you, people don't know what they are talking about.

i LOVED nitro!!  the drop wasnt my absolute fav, but man, it does pack some speed!!  the airtime on the bunnyhops at the end rock too.  and that hammerhead at night, is freakin AWESOME!!  its a great ride...i cant see why someone would bash it....or say that GASM was smoother!!  i mean im a "certified" arrow fan, and i will openly admit that NO B&M coaster is rougher than any arrow ive been on....

I'm sorry, I'll promise to shower tomorrow!  I didn't know BO could pass through the Internet too!  ;)
Hehe, all kidding aside, I am very lucky to have been on so many coasters.  First, I'm lucky to have a mother who was nice enough to see that I was responsible to go on trips with friends when i was 16 years old.  She realized that going to parks and travelling made me extremely happy and I'm forever grateful for that.
Secondly, I have to thank my friends who I travel so much with.  Without them, I wouldn't have anyone to go on trips with, thus limiting my experiences.  So thanks to all the SFGAm employees I travel so frequently, thanks!  :)
Now, back to Nitro, the best coaster on planet Earth...that I have ridden.  Go ride it next year.  Yeah, that's it, I'm done rambling now. :)

nitro is more expolisive that AC but AC was a tad more intense.
Nitro being a B&M alone makes me wanna ride it.  I've only been on one bad B&M and thats Iron Wolf at SFGAMER.   Yes I know it's bad for someone to rip a coaster at their home park.  It's just that it's too rough for me.  Back to Nitro.  When I first saw it, I said to myself I gotta ride this thing and I will next year sometime,.  I've been on a few B&M's and this one looks like it would be my fav b&m.
