nitro....not so explosive??

Really.....why do people think nitro is so bad. It's not that bad of a coaster??? Sure it might not have as much airtime as S:RoS...but it'sa nice ride. I, personally liked it. What is your opinion.

Huh?  I've heard nothing but good things about Nitro. I heard it has a wonderful layout, great air and speed. Just because people find S:ROS or Apollo better doesn't mean Nitro's not a A-1 ride.

The day people don't like an airtime machine such as Nitro is the day I've seen it all.:)

I would never *diss* Nitro, but I DO prefer the powerful feeling of the S:RoS.  I'm wondering lately how much difference I'd feel on the B&M hypers if they ran a traditional two-across seat as opposed to the four-across we've come to expect...Just qwondering if that has anything to do with the "easy-chair" feeling of AC/Nitro...NOT complaining, just noting the difference...

NITRO!

here was a comment from gadv.com:

I've never ridden a ride worse than Nitro...it's absolutely horrible...very rough and NO airtime whatsoever. Viper and GASM and Chiller with OTSR was smoother!

I have no idea what he was thinking.

by the way..don't get the wrong idea about me i love nitro!!! so please don't assume i hate it because i started this thread....It just got me angry so i wanted to see if anybody else felt the same way.

Could the poster on gadv.com have been attempting some sarcasm?  Obviously, Nitro is very smooth by any standard and vastly smoother than the coasters used for camparison.  And while B&Ms can be a bit sluggish first thing in the morning, Nitro has very good air time once it warms up.
very rough???? WHAT!?!??
The poster at gadv.com had to definately be joking or extremely overexaggerating. Anyway, Nitro's a great ride, can't complain about it all. I can see people saying S:ROS is better cuz u get some ejector air on that. But to DWeaver: who said AC was better than nitro? That's something i haven't heard from anyone...nitro is basically a bigger and longer version of AC (i know they're different, but same type) and just as smooth.

Being the Nitro cheerleader you know I had to jump on this. But for real, everyone has different tastes so opinions will vary.

The Yankees are still #1

I have only been on one Hyper (Goliath) and thankfully it is an intense one, but all I have heard about Nitro are good things. It has the hammerhead, a set of bunny hops, the easy chair feeling and it is the tallest B&M ride out there (i think 230ft.) Why is this not all that S:RoS is?  S:RoS (I am guessing at SFNE) looks very unintense (just looking at the very wide helix, but the bunny hops look great).   I guess I am wrong.  At first glance I would give Nitro the nod as the better coaster, but now... anyways, don't judge a book by its cover...

...no hypercoasterman, don't do THAT...LOL.  S:RoS (only SFA so far) delivers the goods!  Goliath was my second fav hyper, then MF, followed by the Beemers, then Steel Force...B&Ms are great rides, just TOO smooth for me, if that makes sense.

It's a fun ride, but i just didn't feel the air time....i'd rather be on sfdl's superman: ride of steel any day over nitro.

Just a tip, buddy, but the first way to totally descredit yourself with the people on this board is by judging a coaster before you have ridden it.
As for the ride quality of Nitro, it just depends when you ride it.  If you are riding at the very top of the morning then its likely going to be pretty sluggish.  If you are riding at midnight after a hot day, its going to run like a bat out of hell.  Just the way coasters go.
