Nintendo GameCube to feature a theme park game!

I just want Coaster Works 2 for my Dreamcast! I'm tired of trying to guess what I'm supposed to be doing in the Japanese version! Thank God you don't have to know any Japanese to be able to ride all 477 of the prebuilt coasters in it! SWEET!

When are you getting PS2 in? When are you getting PS2 in? Horror from Christmas Time last year. Now we can't sell the darn things!

I beg to differ. PS2's have been selling quite well lately. It's rather surprising actually that peeps arent holding off a few more weeks to see what Xbox and Gamecube will be like.
Even though Sony DID miss an opportunity last Christmas, as Jeff said, they still have a large installed base out there. Add to that they have a year headstart on software and the ability to play hundreds of existing PS1 games. That makes ps2 very attractive.  There's no question tha xbox and gamecube have more powerful hardware but that doesn't always mean they'll end up on top. Remember Saturn, it was superior to PS1 in many ways.
I beleive there may now be room in this market for 3 game systems. Sony and Microsoft will battle for the grownup hardcore gamers and Nintendo will continue to be the choice for parents to buy the little ones.  We'll see. One thing I know for sure it's gonna be an interesting holiday season in the video game department!

Yah! Vectrex, what a cool console. I have one of those.  Sure aren't any theme park games on THIS x-y machine.

(ex console collector too)

One reason Sony missed their timing last year is they are always behind in shipping, and not having enough items to supply to their dealers.  Being a Sony dealer for home electronics, (not PS2 that is a separate division of Sony..SCEA). items we order go on B.O. ocassionally.  The X box will be 700MHZ  I think. PS2 is 300MHZ.  The bad news is the game cube will not be CD but cartridge, just like all Nintendo's.

GameCube is NOT cartridge-based.  It's essentially a mini-DVD like format.

(I'm now definitely getting a 'Cube -- placed my preorder at Electronics Boutique on Monday. X-Box is more of a possibility now that I see House of the Dead 3 is coming out for it)

I'd love to see a good RCT-style game for at least one of these boxes, although I'm not sure how well the controls would work out.
