I doubt the game will have the EXACT features of the parks, but we'll see!

GameCube sells out in four minutes
Toys "R" Us announces that its online GameCube preorders sold out rather quickly.
Toys "R" Us announced today that its initial online GameCube preorder allotment sold out in four minutes on Monday. Toys "R" Us offered GameCube bundle packages for $399 beginning yesterday at 2pm PT, and they were completely sold out at 2:04pm. As with its Xbox online preorder campaign, which sold all its units in 30 minutes, Toys "R" Us would not disclose how many GameCube bundles were sold.

Both systems will do well and at least initially, the developers like these systems better than PS2. Add to that the fact that Sony missed their window of greatest opportunity last holiday season because they couldn't get systems in the hands of would-be buyers. 80% of consoles are sold during the holidays, so what happens when suddenly you have two competitors with newer hardware?
Sony still hasn't put out the "killer app," and the reviews on their sports games have been poor (surprisingly outshined by Dreamcast games, of all things). Mario, Pokemon and WaveRace all will drive GameCube while Tony Hawk, Star Wars and sports games will drive X-Box.
I just might have to buy both. :)

(My living room contains a Vectrex, Atari 5200, Atari 7800 (also plays the old 2600/VCS games), IntelliVision, ColecoVision, NES, SNES, TurboDuo, Genesis + SegaCD + 32X + PowerBase (aka the SegaBeast (TM) ), Saturn, Playstation, Jaguar + JagCD, N64, Dreamcast, and PS2. Notice no 3D0 ;) Oh, and I also have a Gameboy, 2x Lynx, GameGear, and GBA. Then there's the living room's 1008MHz Celeron with wireless keyboard and mouse...)

When are you getting PS2 in? When are you getting PS2 in? Horror from Christmas Time last year. Now we can't sell the darn things!

I don't really follow the other two consoles and I find it stupid too after I have the PS2. FYI, By the time January 1, 2002 hits the PS2 will have had tons of AAA titles such as Metal Gear Solid 2, Gran Turismo 3, Tony Hawk 3, and Grand Theft Auto 3.
The EA 2002 sports games for the console are their best efforts since the 16-bit era. NCAA 2002, Madden, and NHL are all improved for the better. Well I need something to do during the off-season and the Pens don't play every day.

After Sega left the console business, I have felt so empty.
My Game Boy Advance will have to satisfy me.
BTW, to stay on the topic, the new Universal Studios game looks very impressive! Something for everyone.
