Nintendo GameCube to feature a theme park game!

I doubt the game will have the EXACT features of the parks, but we'll see!

More than eight different rides to choose from

Impressive...

That sounds great. "More than 8" rides sounds like the awesome power held inside of Game Cube. Lets all hope it's not, or else Nintendo is committing suicide. (Which isn't that big of a loss anyways, PC all the way!)
-----------------
I want my Hay Bayler back! Forget new rides! HAY BAYLER! While they are at it, why not bring back Tidal Wave too?
I just pre-ordered a GameCube, an that game is on my list.  I'll tell you how it is on November 18.

I doubt it that this GameCube will be a hit. Microsoft is coming out with the Xbox sometime next month, if I remember correctly.

By the way, Playstation 2 is the best!

GameCube sells out in four minutes

Toys "R" Us announces that its online GameCube preorders sold out rather quickly.

Toys "R" Us announced today that its initial online GameCube preorder allotment sold out in four minutes on Monday. Toys "R" Us offered GameCube bundle packages for $399 beginning yesterday at 2pm PT, and they were completely sold out at 2:04pm. As with its Xbox online preorder campaign, which sold all its units in 30 minutes, Toys "R" Us would not disclose how many GameCube bundles were sold.

 (Think around $300) X-Box. November 15th

$199.99 Game Cube- November 18th . My store is not taking reserves on GameCube becuase they think they will have enough! I just hope I don't work that day :).

Like most Nintendo games this one will be geared towards the kiddies which makes the system so appealing. No need to fear though for us gamers, Perfect Dark and Rouge Squadron!

Nintendo is a family park. ;)

GameCube and X-Box both have sold-out of pre-orders. To suggest that "PS2 is better" before the others have shipped seems pretty silly. You haven't touched the hardware yet.

Both systems will do well and at least initially, the developers like these systems better than PS2. Add to that the fact that Sony missed their window of greatest opportunity last holiday season because they couldn't get systems in the hands of would-be buyers. 80% of consoles are sold during the holidays, so what happens when suddenly you have two competitors with newer hardware?

Sony still hasn't put out the "killer app," and the reviews on their sports games have been poor (surprisingly outshined by Dreamcast games, of all things). Mario, Pokemon and WaveRace all will drive GameCube while Tony Hawk, Star Wars and sports games will drive X-Box.

I just might have to buy both. :)

As someone who has just about every console under the sun (including Dreamcast and PS2), I'm still on the fence about X-Box and GameCube.  I'll probably end up buying both just because I'm a bit of a completist...

(My living room contains a Vectrex, Atari 5200, Atari 7800 (also plays the old 2600/VCS games), IntelliVision, ColecoVision, NES, SNES, TurboDuo, Genesis + SegaCD + 32X + PowerBase (aka the SegaBeast (TM) ), Saturn, Playstation, Jaguar + JagCD, N64, Dreamcast, and PS2.  Notice no 3D0 ;)  Oh, and I also have a Gameboy, 2x Lynx, GameGear, and GBA.  Then there's the living room's 1008MHz Celeron with wireless keyboard and mouse...)

When are you getting PS2 in? When are you getting PS2 in? Horror from Christmas Time last year. Now we can't sell the darn things!

No VirtualBoy, Greg? I though everyone had one of those. ;)

I've got laser eyes, and I know what you're thinking. It comes to no surprise, the Christmas lights are blinking.
This Universal game reminds me of an old 8-bit Nintendo game that I had called "Adventures in the Magic Kingdom" made by Capcom and Disney I think.  You had to run around Disneyland and do certain rides and answer questions to gain access to new rides to beat the game.  Similar in concept to this one.  Gamecube looks sweet, and with Link, Metroid, Mario, Star Wars and the like, I think it'll be a big seller.  Same with X-Box.  Personally, I want the Gamecube more.  :)  I already have the PS2, so I think I'll only buy one of the new systems.
-----------------
Yea.. what Jeff said... Go Dreamcast! hehe...

Once bomberman is out, DC will be da bomb! [sigh] :)

As for the game, it looks kinda cheezy....

I don't really follow the other two consoles and I find it stupid too after I have the PS2. FYI, By the time January 1, 2002 hits the PS2 will have had tons of AAA titles such as Metal Gear Solid 2, Gran Turismo 3, Tony Hawk 3, and Grand Theft Auto 3.
The EA 2002 sports games for the console are their best efforts since the 16-bit era. NCAA 2002, Madden, and NHL are all improved for the better. Well I need something to do during the off-season and the Pens don't play every day.

Have you been living under a rock? Gran Turismo 3 came out in July! My brother and I have completed 76.8% of the game.

GregLeg, geez! Are you sure you shouldn't just be a gaming enthusiast? The systems alone that you own probably total in the thousands...let along the actual games. :)

Mayday - Memorial Day Weekend - Nonpoint, Nickelback, Oleander, Staind
Ozzfest - June 8 - Drowning Pool, Papa Roach, Linkin Park, Disturbed, Black Sabbath
Awake Tour- June 15 - Darwin's Waiting Room, Puddle of Mudd, Deftones, Godsmack

Will it have the Hulk on it ? I mean it must because Its Universal Orlando.
Sigh.

After Sega left the console business, I have felt so empty.

My Game Boy Advance will have to satisfy me.

BTW, to stay on the topic, the new Universal Studios game looks very impressive!  Something for everyone.

I'm suprised Jeff is keeping this post open since its getting off topic.
