Almost 10 yearts earlier CP spent 12mill on Raptor and 14Mill in 96 for Mantis. So SFMM spending 14mill in 2001 for X really isn't that much cash.Especially when CP is spending 9 mil for an Impluse.I think Intamin is the worst value, Compared to Arrow and B&M.
I really don't think that Intamin coasters are a bad value. They are simply more expensive because of the technology used. I seriously doubt that LIM's are cheap.

The next wave will be the flyers and the 4d's as everyone has said. But also, there will be an Attack Of The Giovnalas (sorry if i spelled that wrong) I am not going to say what kind, but they are coming.
The Only way we can be Attact By Giovanola is by there Tilt-Coasters because that is there Newest creation, And Most parks go for the New creations. So That would be good.
The 90s have been all about rider placement. Inverts, standups, floorlesses, now flyers. All well and good, but they don't allow for inherently different moves. One could add 4d tech to anything. Imagine impulses that tumble while they climb the spikes. Headchoppers that really WOULD cut your head off if the seats didn't rotate. Possible. Flyers by contrast are hugely limited, and likely to be more of a novelty ride than something with staying power.
Now if they'd just make spinning mouse style 4d cars (5d?) I realize the train would be obscenely long, but still... muhahahahahahaha
Comatose: that sounds Puketastic! lol :)
The thing that holds CCI back from becoming the "new wave" is that the GP wont let it. The people I know hate woodies and think they all suck like Mean Streak and just beat the crap out of you. Its hard for big parks to make money without a new ride having some sort of record or gimick. Sadly the most appealing woodie to the GP would have to be Son of Beast.
From the reviews I've heard of X, I sure hope one is built close soon to save me some money on airline tickets.

B&M Boomerangs... they will make one that is so smooth and perfect that they sell one to every park without this kind of ride!!!

It doesn't matter who makes the Boomerang, it will still be a boomerang.
It would be a shame for any B&M to have a coaster with a layout which is that boring.... Thats one of the best parts of a B&M coaster, an interesting layout!

2)CCI wood- CCI has to be the most adaptable coaster builders in the business. Just look at how they've squeezed coasters into the most unlikely of places. From what I understand, you can still buy a nice size one for 4-5 mill. Six Flags is steel crazy, but smaller parks will continue to look to CCI. Not a tough prediction there.
3)Arrow 4D- I honestly think the 4D is good enough to become the hypercoaster of the next decade. The concept hasn't been perfected by Arrow yet, there are capacity issues, and the rotation of the seats need to be better refined. That aside, it's the most revolutionary ride since Magnum-XL and Batman:The Ride. Parks looking to make a name may look to these, they are attention getters if nothing else. If only Arrow can get themselves on good enough footing to afford to manufacter more, then SFMM's pain should be the industry's gain.
