Next version pinning

Whenever a topic is "pinned," it shows the little circle behind it like there's new posts in it, even if there isn't... any way that in the next version/update there can be two pins? One just a pin, and one with the exclamatory circle behind to signify new posts?

Or perhaps an option where the Pinned topic, or selected pinned topics could become unpinned upon viewing. Or perhaps give members the ability to unpin certain topics at will.

That goes against the idea of Jeff pinning a topic, James. A topic is pinned because Jeff wants us to see it all the time.
