I was talking to my friend today and she got a flyer at SFGAm. The flyer said the new rides will be open on May 12. I don't believe Deja Vu will be open but I think V2 has a small chance of opening! Don't get mad at me, because that is all she told me! Do you think V2 will be open?

I just don't see that happenning. I was at GAm yesterday and they still ddin't have the station and walkways complete. They are still welding the steel for the bridge.
I think, however, I found the reason for the delays. (sarcasm on) There are groups of three people working on the ride. Two are standing and talking and pointing at a spot. The third then looks at it up close and then, maybe, he hits it with a weld. Then all three of them walk away, light up a cigarette, and when they are done smoking it, return to virtually the same spot and repeat the entire process. Perhaps they were state-of-the-art animatronic workers???? (sarcasm off)

cool how did she get the flyer were they passing them out? o well. Yeah i think V2 will be ready by May 12 b cuz I went there on the 5th and all they needed to do was finish testing it and build the que lines and entrance im pretty sure
That would be great as I will be there on May the 14th. But I'am not counting on it. I'am looking forward though to my first trip on Raging Bull, it was not built the last time I was at SFGAm.

No. It sounds more like union welders...:)
The bridge for the queue that passes over the water next to Angelo's restaurant...

She got the flyer when she walked past either V2 or Deja Vu, I can't remember.

Well, I don't see V2 opening for about 2-3 weeks, and Deja Vu....I would say June.
we can still be optimistic though, can't we?!? :)

DÉJÀ VU – Fast Forward…Blast Backwards!
Just to let everybody know - I drove past the park on my lunch break and they were cycling some of the rides. I saw Raging Bull, Shockwave, Tower, Power Dive.

That would make sense - Will V2 debut tomorrow? That is the question.

I think it could happen. all they needed was to make the line, a little roof, and make the station a little higher. i could see that happening if they really got to work. but deja vu... i don't think so, i would say a little under a month for that one, i think

How can they make the station a little higher? It's as high as it will be, there are no jacks beneth it, it's just a building. The only building I know of with jacks is Konsai International Airport, and thats because its island is sinking... Oh, no! V2 is sinking! J/K. Bad joke.

I hate noise in these message boards.
I don't think V2 will be open this weekend because on opening day I talked to a guy working on the station and he said 3-4 weeks till it was gonna be open.
I called sfgam today and asked them when the new rides will open. they said they haven't set a date, than i asked if they both will be open by mid june and she said defintly. She said that they will open in late spring, maybe sooner. I planning on going june 20 & 21st.

Six Flags Great America Rules
At some point we have to come to the realization that NO ONE knows when these rides are going to open. Nothing is for certain except that Deja Vu will not be open this weekend or the next at the least. I really don't think it is possible to know about V2 operating this weekend (of course i am hoping it is), unless someone here is working at SFGAm and/or is an expert in the building and testing of rollercoasters......so in other words all we can KNOW is that the coasters (and V2 in particular) will open some time soon.
