News submission quesiton

I am confused as to what you look for when accepting news items. You post a new news item everytime "Steve Franks" recreates a coaster in RCT. Yet, when I submitted a news item that compiled upcoming coaster show airings (which I think is very useful), it was rejected. I don't mean to sound like mine was the best news item in the world, because it was far from it. I'm just curious.
