New Video 05/12/04

A new video was released at www.rollercoastertycoon.com

It shows features such as night mode, and cheerleaders!! Yes, cheerleaders are a feature.

Yep, it's beyond words - wait until you see all the new flats, and lit up perfectly, to boot! The cheerleader squad is hilarious, and the mob of people chasing the sports entertainer -- brilliant!
"Night Mode" looks fantastic. The 4-D coaster, top spin, and other flats look pretty spectacular as well!
As cartoonish as the game looks, that preview was awesome. I am definitely willing to sacrifice some realism for that!
I have died and gone to heaven!

This game is beyond perfect. As long as it runs as good as it looks i'm sure this will be on the top of the PC charts come this fall.

I have never been excited for a game to come out, but this really looks great. I played Roller Coaster Tycoon 2 for a little while, and got bored with it, this looks like it will keep my attention a lot longer. I can't wait for the Holidays this year!
I think it looks horrible, and whatever they try to sell it for will be too expensive!

(...just in case anyone from atari is listening...)

I would think the most they would want to charge is $49.99, and to tell you the truth I don't mind paying that much.

Oh baby...Chance Double Invertor, Mondial Topscan, I think I might've even seen a Chance Revolution in the background of one of the shots. I can't wait.

I'm shocked to see that a top spin can hold more than 8 people. :) All i can say is that video has me waiting with my money for it.
If the game looks as good as the video makes it look I will be thrilled. I know the graphics are very cartoonish, but I can live with that. If the game turns out to be as cheap as the expansions to RCT2, however, I will be very dissapointed. I really hope that RCT3 doesn't make me loose all hope for RCT.

That games just looks AMAZING fun to play!

I am seriously getting stoked about this game. I love the trailer music they've been using, too.

The graphics are an excellent selling point, but I love how all the peeps are reacting, the sheer variety of rides, and how the whole package is coming together...

...dude... this is THE game of the E3 for the PC... bar none... case closed, everybody go home!

Speaking of E3....WOW....The Nintendo DS is gonna be the hottest thing on the block. Sony's PSP looks good, but DS is stealing the show.

I know this was off-topic but I just had too!

Yeah, I'd pay it too...:P

The current listed price is $39.99.

I'd still like to see scenery like box-frame and angled track supports... but other than that snobby request, this game looks like it's going to fulfill every darn thing that's ever been put on an RCT wish list.

I think I'm going to need a week off in December to play this game until I'm comatose.

Is it just me, or did anyone notice that the video fails to show wooden coasters?
I know they are there and you can see a wooden structure fly by, but there is no close up whatsover of a woodie.
But everything else is just WOW!
Call me paranoid.
Who needs wood - that's soo retro!

;o)

Awesome! I purchased a high end graphics card a couple of months ago and a new monitor last night. This is going to be on great game. So, looking forward to it.
Did anyone else notice that the front part of the train on the inverted coaster has what appears to be headlights on it? Now that is cool all in itself. :)

edit: while still in the downloading process (super slow dial up) I did notice at leat one wooden coaster. It was in night-mode and the track was white. It too had headlights on the front of the train. *** Edited 5/13/2004 2:41:08 PM UTC by Joey Stewart***
