Linear Gale was superb especially with two holding brakes. You never know when they will hold you on that fronnt spike and the glass tunnel added for a great effect. Don't judge this ride by appearance, besides any ride that has a big vertical drop has to be exciting.

Vertigo, Linear Gale has 0 holding brakes and never has. Did you even ride it?

edit:

Yes Vertigo, there is no glass tunnel on Linear Gale. What are you talking about? Are you sure you rode it?????

I even have older pics of it from a friend, and there was no glass tunnel nor brakes a few years back

Peabody, have you gone sinces it rehab? Thought so, that's probably why the holding brakes and glass tunnel sound new to you. Coasters change you know.

What you just said to me was like a Japanese enthusiasts saying:

- Flight of Fear has the worst head banging

-Legend's loading iis so slow because it has one train

-Hypersonic XL is never going to open this season

-What are you talking about, Kennywood has loops, what do you call Steel Phantom

-Steamiin' Demon is being torn down and will not be there this season

Is the Twist on it sort of like the ones on Volcano now? Cause that was one of the reasons Volcano is awesome.

Vertigo: When did this rehab happen?

I was there 6 or 8 months ago. Are you saying it's changed since then and you rode it? I'd like to see pictures please. Sounds like they made a good ride better if it's true.

Please just spell it out! When did you ride it like this? I'm interested! Do you have a picture?

A holding break is being added to Linear Gale this season, Peabody, but no I didn't get to ride it but did geet to see it testing. Besides, who here would care if Linear Gale is being tested? There's a lot of foreign news that we don't here on coasterbuzz. I was there three weeks ago, but got to stop at one park this time because it was a one time stop, just a stop in Japan before heading Beijing, which was quite a place. By the way, does Beiing have any parks? I want to know if I missed something there. Why else do you think I was posting between 10:00 PM and 4:00 AM all week? I have a life, I was just on the otherside of the globe.

Interesting stuff. I'm aware that we don't get a lot of foreign news, that's why I'm perstering you for info/pics. I'd love it if they did add a brake or two. Do you have a pic? I'd love to see it! :)

I thought you said there were two holding breaks...

Haha... okay. And some of you were capping on my grammar! Anyways, I'm sure there are no "breaks" on Linear Gale. haha

Hey I'm riding V2 tomorrow if anyone cares. I would just like to say that the grammar on this topic has greatly improved! ;)

I sure as hell don't remember one when I was there two weeks ago.

Do you have a pic, PT300? Someone here is not telling the truth! I want to know does it have one or not. It didn't have one a few months ago, as can be seen in my pics.

Vertigo, do you have a pic (again)? You said here a few months ago that you weren't going to be able to travel via you dad looking at new jobs anymore because that ended. How does a kid get to China?

Maybe they didn't use the brakes, or was there any brakes at all?

It had no brakes, Olov: Here's my pic from a few months ago. (There are others that show the other tower brakeless) http://www.coastergallery.com/japan/K04.html

I wonder if it could handle a holding brake or not, because this one uses the weaker triangular track, unlike the others that use the stronger square track.

Something is just not adding up here. Vertigo please tell us if you have a picture or not, I asked a few times yesterday and you didn't answer.

(It's a great ride to take pictures of, I think I took a whole row of it, and a second from their parachute ride. It's not everyday you find an impulse coaster in the downtown of a big city.)

Vertigo, if you went to Korakuen, tell me what you thought of Geopanic. That coaster has so many surprises in it I loved it! :)

Mr. Peabody: I have pictures, and I'll send some of them to you as soon as I get my camera charged (I don't have a website to put them on). I also got some construction photos of LaQua.

I certainly don't remember a brake though, just lots of sweet airtime. :)

Awesome, PT300! Have you seen my Japan pictures on Coastergallery.com? I took about 10 times that many, though! Drop me an email and tell me about your trip! I'd love to share pics. I'm going to have to go back and ride LaQua when it opens. I only got to see a model and lots of groundwork

Vertigo: What gives? I doubt they installed a tunnel and 2 holding brakes in less than 2 weeks. Are you being honest with us?

When I was there a few weeks ago, there was some work going on Linear Gale and it also began testing when I left. What I was told was that they are adding a new braking system going in. Now I'm think that would mean a holding break and I'm thinking two because there was work at each end of the coaster. Now, should I trust employees, especially one who spoke little English? Mabye the guys don't know what they're talking about, but something's going on there.

WOuldn't it count as 1 inversion if they tilted the spike to 45 degrees. Wouldn't it be like a banked Zero-G roll.
