New Trains for "Superman - Ride of Steel" at Six Flags America

Millennium Force used to have fast loading, there was a time. It didn't require fancy trains either.

Jeff:

The biggest change was just making the back of the seat deeper so your knees are higher than the bottom of the lap bar. Not being able to touch the floor also forces that geometry.

Having your knees above your ass is such a simple yet effective design. It's part of what makes the B&M clamshells so great. The ROS restraints are the antithesis of this.

Which is weird, right? The two surfaced around the same time.

Schwarzkopf76:

Replying to TheMillenniumRider, have you ridden S&S on Maxx Force?

No unfortunately, it’s on the to do list, but that list seems to grow ever bigger and faster than I can visit places.

Apparently, new roller coaster trains are not shipped on wood pallets from Intamin, but on an actual piece of track.

New Train

Last edited by DoubleMeatTaco,

I rode this back in 2000 and 2001 when it was new. Has it not aged well?

Unfortunately I never got to ride Batwing when it was new. Everytime I went there it was always broke down.

I will also say the new trains are nice. I did a fly by of the park yesterday.

Watch the tram car please....

Meanwhile I was today years old when I realized the Batwing station is a clone of the old Geauga Lake/Worlds of Adventure X-Flight station, right down to the typeface.
