The biggest change was just making the back of the seat deeper so your knees are higher than the bottom of the lap bar. Not being able to touch the floor also forces that geometry.
Having your knees above your ass is such a simple yet effective design. It's part of what makes the B&M clamshells so great. The ROS restraints are the antithesis of this.
Which is weird, right? The two surfaced around the same time.
