You guys should give the kid a break! At least he's trying to do something creative.
Maybe "the kid" shouldn't be so sensitive. When you take a chance and put yourself out there like that, you're going to catch crap.
It's real easy for us to sit back and criticize. But instead, why doesn't someone e-mail him with some constructive criticism?
Constructive criticism? I don't see it as the end user's job to try to make everything they don't like in life into something they do. Imagine if I took the time to write to every website, TV show, movie, musician, author, chef, entertainer and wal-mart checkout employee to tell them how I would do it differently. It would be a big waste of my time and their's. There's no way you could cater to everyone. You do what you do and hope people like it.
It goes back to the first point. When you put something out there for people to see, you need to go into it accepting the fact that more people are going to hate it than will like it and you have to have thick enough skin to deal with that.
Don't put yourself on the internet on a daily basis if you can't handle the reaction. That's my advice. Someone point "the kid" to this post so he can read it.
