The ride looks great and I look foreword to riding one of these floorless Top Spins one day.
Might I add... Calling him a reporter is an insult to all of the fine journalist in the world.
Can I say in before close?

A day at the park is what you make it!
Was it before or after we decided the whole idea of the 'news report' format was hilarious?

In defense of SFGAdv Lover, he did put "reporter" in quotation marks...;)
Not all of us from the MidLantic are quite THAT geeky.....some of us, maybe...:)
Nonetheless, after DZ and now this, PKD is certainly moving up in the "thrill ride" genre...:)

I counted maybe 3 flips in a row at most during the whole video, which seems rather small for a Huss Topspin. The smaller models like at Geauga Lake, Darien Lake, & New England have been known to go upwards of 6 or 7 flips in a row (maybe more?)...
...although the theming is nice & the seating is cool, with it being floorless & facing both directions... the ride cycle itself just seems rather... boring.
Yea, I put reporter in quotes for a reason.
A friend of mine was at PKD last week and she said that people are still shying away from it. Maybe it's too extreme? Hopefully people will warm up to it, although if they don't, that means shorter lines for the rest of us. *** Edited 4/7/2005 2:32:50 AM UTC by Intamin Fan***
Was he the 2nd recipient of our "Oh, S***!" award!??! Did he drop one while riding?
Looks like a great ride though.
Anyway, personaly I think the new Rip-Tide at VF looks more intense than this. Just go to the website and check out the video. Sure the scenery isn't as good but it looks more intense. http://www.valleyfair.com/insidethepark/rides/rollercoasters/ridedetails.cfm?id=120
Of course I could be wrong. :)
i'm not sure what to put here..

How do I get Windows Movie Maker (the format of the video) to play? And, is it Mac compatible? I answered my own question. It only works in XP (which I think is lame). I'll have to go the library to see what you're all talking about. Trust me Dawgbtye, the ride program is anything but boring.A friend of mine was at PKD last week and she said that people are still shying away from it. Maybe it's too extreme? It should, MS makes a WMP for Mac, but there are other solutions for those who would rather not touch WMP with a 20 foot pole.

You guys should give the kid a break! At least he's trying to do something creative. It's real easy for us to sit back and criticize. But instead, why doesn't someone e-mail him with some constructive criticism?
I know a couple of people have on another site and it turns into a flame war.
