New to forum - Did I break a rule?

I posted an announcement and provided a link about the new Earth Quest Adventures park which was recently announced in Houston and it was deleted. I scrolled back but didn't see another thread discussing it. Did I break a rule or miss something, or did I come to the wrong place? or all the above?

I saw a thread about Hard Rock Park, so I thought people here might be interested in hearing about a new theme park.

Welcome to Coasterbuzz :)

Newbies around here have been so courteous lately.

No, you didn't really break a rule it's just that Jeff likes news articles like that to be submitted so that he can review them and then put them under the News Headlines section of the main page.

Just go to the tool bar on the right hand side of each page and just hit "contribute"

Oh. O.K. I re-submitted the link to the contribute news page.

Thanks.

No, actually it's because when someone makes their first post promoting something, red flags go up. Ad agencies and theme park marketing departments actually do this regularly, and as far as I'm concerned it's no different than some kid spamming his Web site.

Seeing as how you have a user name and e-mail address that appears to match the attraction you were linking to, I have a problem with that. (Read here)

We accept press releases from parks all of the time, many of them self-contributed. But they do so via the news contribution page and we decide based on its perceived newsworthyness whether or not we'll post it.

So is this newsworthy? Sounds like serious money is being invested in this place to me. I didn't even realize I was promoting it. I just wanted to hear some opinions on the news article I read. Just thought your members would like to be kept in the loop.

I thought being from Houston, Rocket Town was an appropriate name. Should I change it so that my post don't cause problems in the future. Or are you inviting me to go away? I'm not a spammer, I'm not selling anything.

Of course, I AM ecstatic about the prospect of a new theme park in Houston after the AstroWorld fiasco.

Best of luck.
