Ahh, now we know why you can have a 107 mph launch speed, a tower only 150 feet tall and such a huge turnaround! The turnaround comes first, then the tower. It looks like it will be extremely fast ride!
Oh, and I don't think Japanese actually demand ultra-thrill rides. They just like ones that are statistically superior to ours, but not really as intense. I thought this when I went to Japan in '90, back then Moonsault Scramble was supposed to be the tallest and fastest, but it was quite a relaxing shuttle coaster with huge sweeping turns. And when I rode it, I was the only person who put my hands up and was yelling. Most people were silent, and were silent on all of the rides, with only a few short screams here and there. That totally weirded me out! I think Japanese prefer rides that go fast but are nicely paced, and they MUST look nice, since there is no space at all in Japan and they aren't going to screw around.
Steel Dragon isn't nearly as relentless as MF.
