New SFA coaster

SFA Fans:

Are different areas of the park themed? For example, Raging Bull is located in the Southwest Territory at SFGAm. Does SFA have different themed sections? If so, where is the new location of the ride going to be, and in what area of the park (if there are different themed areas).

Yes SFA has themed areas. Coyote Creek is the western town, Gotham City, Looney Toons Movie Town are the ones I can remember off the top of my head. The only thing is that some rides don't fit the themed areas the are in. Two examples are the Mind Eeraser which is in the western town and Two Face coaster which is not in the Gotham City section.
Actually, track can be delivered before the ride passes approval. Just look at Superman. The track arrived far before it got the final approval.

As for the green track, I'll check for it next time I'm at SFA... If it's B&M that's a great sign... Just what SFA needs. I'd even go for a Riddler's Revenge clone although I'm hoping for a custom design. Just, SFA, PLEASE don't call it Green Lantern. What a name.

Just watch a Riddler-themed coaster go into Coyote Creek. LOL. But, seriously, I think the best way to put it is that SFA is gaining experience in theming and rides, etc. Batwing and Superman are two of my top five coasters and I'm hoping that the next one will also be a winner.

I think a riddler themed b+m at sfa would be cool with a flat ride or two. (a giant jump and a  frisbee please!)  Alough, i do remember a while ago there was a list of rides that were supposively approved for sfa in the coming years...and a beemer wasn't one of them..unless the stand up is back on.

The list you saw was a planning document filed with the county.  It is not a permit to construct.
Is it possible that there might be no coaster next year? The horror! (extreme sarcasm). Batwing replaced the standup coaster in the masterplan. Until we hear otherwise, there is NO standup coaster. Let's remember there have been FIVE coasters (four of which cost $10 million or more) added in four years, plus four flat rides.

The latest rumors for SFA are that the park might recieve Viper from SFOG.At least according to Screamscape.com .I would much rather see them get a nice B&M though or maybe a couple of new flat rides.
You'd rather have a couple of flat rides than the classic Schwarzkopf shuttle looper that was ripped from one of MY parks?  Blasphemy!!   Hehe.  Actually, that does kind of bite that we lost it.  Whoever gets it, hopefully they will appreciate it.

I rode "X" and never went upside down.
Screamscape also said that SFNE's coaster would have yellow track and blue supports and the it would most likely be batman themed.
-----------------
Of course, if it is a floorless model for SFNE, it could be another Medusa.  We all know how Six Flags loves using the same name and theme over and over and over and over... ;)

But will they put it in an old west area and call it Medusa? ;)

I'd love to see SFA build whatever is in their plan that is 60'X70'X200" tall.  The suspense is killing me.

However, I would be perfectly content with landscaping the expansion areas from the last few years and concentrating on improved ride operation.

I think the next coaster at SFA will not be themed to any superhero or superhero villain.  4 out of their 7 major coasters already have a DC Comics theme.  I seriously dount...and hope that their next coaster doesn't get a theme to DC Comics.

Well, Medusa has a snake theme to it, so it fits!  ;)  At least, it does in their mind.

In the story the park tells you it said medusa was banished to the gold mines.   Good old greek gold mines!
