I was driving along the capital beltway the other day when i spotted some green track that looked like B&M. It might have been headed to SFA or Hershey Park. Can anyone confirm the rumors about SFA's new coaster for 2002?
I'm confused on that one because I don't think its heading to Hershey because if they get the hyper everyone was talking about it will be in 2002 and its pretty early to be recieving track unless its going to be like Deponda and be built in 2001 and open in 2002. I also don't think its going to SFA because I heard that coaster will be themed after Mr. Freeze and if thats the case the track will be blue. Finally SFNE will have there coaster themed after Batman or The Matrix so the track will probably be black. Unless its going to SFWOA or CP I'm stumped.

Didn't they just get Nitro this year, one of the most expensive B&M's ever? SFNE dosn't even have a B&M but they just announced they would get one for 2002, so I would say the most logical park it would go to is SFNE.

Was the track on the inner loop or the outer? And, where on the beltway?
If the track was actually for a new B&M it would be unlikely that it would be on the D.C. betlway unless it was headed to SFA or PKD. B&M track is fabricated in Ohio. This means that there are only a couple of parks that it would make sense for it to be headed to on the D.C. beltway. One other slight bossibility is that the track could be headed to Consign AG or Logical Systems both near D.C. These are the folks who make the controls for B&M. Maybe they needed a section of track for some sort of test.
Then again, it may have been a different type of track. It can be hard to exactly identify different brands of track as they go by quickly in traffic.
The one thing that gets me is the theme for SFA's 2002 coaster is supposed to be a MR. Freeze theme. As far as I know the existing MR. Freeze shuttles have a blue paint scheme not green.Maybe SFA has changed the theme perhaps it will be a Riddlers Revenge clone. If anyone spots any track at SFA just let me know.

This is killing me! SFA has no clearance to add a coaster for 2002. how can you be so assured that not only has the theme been decided, but that anything whatsoever is actually being built for 2002? Yes they have received "preliminary" approval for several new rides, but, "BUT" nothing can be built till the county approves it! And the county has approved NO such rides...for 2002
I noticed this year at SFA down behind the hill between Batwing and S:ROS what appeared to be parts of the old Python rollercoaster. Could this be what you saw on the beltway? I hope SFA gets more new rides for the 2002 season.
I'm sorry, but why can't green track go with a Matrix theme? there's a lot of green in Matrix. the characters that scroll across the screen that represent the matirx are green. they said in the DVD commentary that anything that was tainted by the matrix was green (such as pictures). I think green track would fit a Matrix theme beautifully. about the only other theme it could be is for the Riddler or Joker. as for what park its headed to or from, I don't know. I'm not from that area. but the themes should help discover where its going. ----------------- Jay and Silent Bob have left the building ~Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back
