The final vestiges of a once iconic wayfinding system are now being replaced. The purple roadway signs used to direct vehicular traffic around the resort have begun being swapped out with new blue-based signage. Like the purple before it, the blue aesthetic can be seen on signage throughout the resort.
Read more from Orlando Weekly. WKMG has a photo of the new signs.

Is that still gated at one end?
On the AK side yes. Rumor is they are going to install a gate on the MK side too. Bear Island is a great shortcut now that more places are opening at Flamingo Crossing. It makes getting Starbucks easier.

And on a related note:
New to Dorney in 2022: Purple Signs!
Good. The GPS in my Ram takes you to the employee entrance, which isn’t easy to turn around and get out of when you realize you can’t go that way.
But then again, what do I know?

I was just on the beam though. (Which went down as Magic Kingdom dumped on a Friday night. 😬)
Sorry, but what does this mean?

Lately it's not just Disney fans that can be obnoxious. It seems everywhere that people think that they like a product then that makes them an equal product with the company that produces it and should have a say in have a say in what the company does. How do these people have the time to run so many companies?
Has Disney even said these are the new signs? I saw the pictures and couldn't figure out where the new signs were and then I finally saw them yesterday. It is still only two signs and I have yet to see any others being replaced. I wouldn't be surprised if these two signs are a test, especially because of their placement. Unless there was a press release that I missed.

I saw them last Friday leaving DHS. I don't know that there has to be an announcement, but replacing these had the practical matter of pointing people to a new attraction.

Press release? For road signs.?
Chapek really *should* be fired if a penny more than needed is spent on something so non-newsworthy as replacing traffic fixtures.
My apologies. I forgot this is 2022. Please replace "press release" with blog post, Facebook update, TikTok video, Instagram Story.

I'll never understand people that get mad at companies when their product commands a price that others can/will/do pay, but they themselves can't/won't/don't pay.
"I'm angry that premium products out of my price range exist!"
That's literally the definition of entitlement in play.
